Absolutely horrible! Aside from the bed being comfortable, nothing was good about this hotel. Strong and persistent smell in the room, ceiling tiles stained, dirty/dusty vents, missing drain strainer in the bath tub, questionable people in the parking lot, complimentary hot breakfast minimal and cold, etc. Don't get fooled by the nice front desk and professional staff.
Date of Stay:
July, 2009
The hotel room was not clean and there were black bugs in the bathroom. When we first went into the room I had cleaned them up but they came back after a few hours. The staff did offer a new room but I was completely turned off by this hotel. Do not recommend at all. It was named Quality Inn but the quality was not there.

Extremely noisy, with loud thumping music from hotel event into wee hours. The rooms were okay, the water in the shower was distinctly orange though and the faucet dripped constantly. There were several different social events being held at the hotel and we were kept up almost all night long due to the music being piped into the courtyard. This hotel isextremely noisy. If you want to get any sleep, you will bring earplugs. Internet was broken, so was ice machine.

after reading other reviews i didn't know what to expect but after spending a night here i guess it depends on which room you get. i didn't have any problems with water/heat/carpet. i stayed here one night the front desk staff was very polite if i ever come back to the area i would stay here again.

I was pleasantly suprised about the hotel. After reading all the terrible reviews I wasn't sure what i was getting into. As it turns out the front desk greeted us with a smile and was very helpful upon check in. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The kids spent the entire time at the pool which gave me a nice break. The weekend entertainment was a little loud but after joining, it turned out to be lots of fun. I would staty here again and again.

Front desk person nice. Room ceiling leaked, light blown out in room, bathroom dirty, TV reception poor on multiple channels, airport noise apparent, run-down look. The bathroom was dirty, the ceiling leaked and the breakfast was mediocre. I would not return.

It took 3 rooms to find one to stay in. I got the key to the first room. It was occupied??!! Second room - no heat. New York in Oct is a bit chilly. So back to the desk. They gave me 3 sets of keycards to 3 different rooms - "pick one and let me know which one you like." The manager on duty was a real gem. She seemed to have a never ending series of problematic *personal* calls that prevented her from helping me and a number of other customers waiting at the desk. And since I made 4 trips to the desk - I did get to see quite a bit. The desk clerk was also a trip. She's the one that gave me the occupied room. Very distracted and mouthy towards the manager - with me and other customers waiting nearby. The final room I chose was what you'd expect from a $* room: smallish, but OK; old furniture; obviously lived in by many years of travelers. If your expectations are low - you'll like this place. The "hot breakfast buffet" is technically true, but not very appetizing. No employee in sight to ask for help (plates ran out, no coffee, no juice, etc.) If you're in to cereal and toast - you're in luck. I've recently been looking at the Choice Hotels first when I go on trips. Very satisfied. So much so that I'm "Elite Gold" in only a few months. I will not be staying at this Quality Inn again. I *will* continue with the Choice Hotel line. This hotel is a bad apple. Go elsewhere.

Bathroom is pretty small. The room is smelly. Furnitures and renovations are old. In a word, not worth. Days Inn is much better

The location, in the nice part of town near prominant roads. Very shabby, it seemed like it was a place for family members of employees to hang out and lots of them. Room smelled bad. Needs renovated. Will never go back to this hotel and it was even a little pricey.

got off I87 after a long drive up from the bronx and saw the sign for the quality inn. i must say i was very pleased with the service at the front desk, got checked in with no problem. i had a great time at the dance party they had that night and woke up the a great breakfast. i would definetly stay again.

after reading all those other reviews i was very skeptical about staying at this hotel but wow it was a great time. the ethnic indian food was amazing and so was the latin night party the pool was a great place to relax and the room was much bigger then i thought. the service at the front desk was very helpful helped me carry my bags and gave very well instructed directions to local areas of intrest

Convenient to Newburgh/ Stewart airport. PoorAC , notclean, exterior, common space, hallways etc.

We arrived to a room that smelled, was dated, and had mold on the ceiling. Tried to bathe kids in tub, but water coming out of faucet was yellow. Next morning had no running water at all. No sleep, no facilities, and no customer service....this is almost criminal. When management was asked they lied and said it was the whole town without water.....I asked at the gas station...not true

The staff was very professional. There were questionable people hanging out in the parking lot at night.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was very dirty and rundown. The heat didn't work. The bathroom had ceiling tiles missing and the water had no pressure at all. Management not helpful at all.
Date of Stay:
August, 2007
Location, from outside and lobby appeared to be nice. Rooms had worn furniture, heating cooling in adequate, coffee maker with no coffee pot, water came up in tub from some other room. I would not recommend this hotel for the reasons listed above, there were many other patrons also dealing with issues. The hotel needs to be updated and in working order. I would not stay in this hotel again if at all possible.

My non smoking room stunk like cigarettes and had two ashtrays on the table.

Convenient to West Point and clean. Alittle outdated air/heat. The hotel was clean and located near West Point which is why we stayed here. There is a very nice outdoor pool area but we were not able to take advantage of it.

"the staff was friendly, the ethnic food was great, and the pool atmosphere was relaxing and calming, the latin night on friday was great entertainment. the courtyard by the pool was the perfect place to grab a drink from the bar and take a nap. ive stayed at the hojo across the street also, i hilghy recomend the quality of the hojo"
