They have the best bar in Morganton. I have been going to their bar for 15 years and have never seen any trouble. The bartenders are fun and the music is great.

There are certainly better hotels, but not for the 80/night rate that I paid. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was excellent, they offered both wireless internet access or through a jack.

Ok place to stay. Comfortable. Constructed well so sounds from showers or other guest aren?t annoying. Friendly staff. Clean. Well kept. Nice pool. Good value. Lots of outdoors activities around the area. Several restaurants to select from within ? mile. Room service was bad compared to other Holliday Inns we have stayed at. Saw some trays and covered dishes outside room doors. We tried to order dinner but only had a breakfast menu. Went to the front desk, but got another breakfast menu (the breakfast menu in the room was no longer valid). Back to the front desk to get a menu, later found out it was a lunch menu. Gave up. Two days later took all the menus to the restaurant to find out none of them was a dinner menu and none were available. Was allowed to borrow a menu to go back to the room to order with. Ordered two dinners for around * with tip. Room service arrived in Styrofoam takeout boxes and bags. Opened it to find no silverware. Back to the restaurant to get silverware and was issued plastic cutlery like you might expect from a hamburger stand. SO: wrong menu, no menu, wrong menu again, no menu again, borrow a menu, pay *, get Styrofoam, no silverware, get cheap plastic silverware. Some guest get a tray and covered dish ? some get Styrofoam.

Hotel was clean, Desk staff was friendly and more than willing to help, Dining staff and Restaurant was surprisingly nice, pool was well maintained & lit at night. Was very comfortable for a family outing.

Very hard to sleep with the heating & ac they have. It cycles off & on all night if you leave it on & is very loud.

We stayed at 3 diff. hotels in Morganton on our trip. This was the nicest of them. Would def. stay here again. Beds are comfortable and room nicely decorated with microwave and fridge in room.
