Do yourself a favor while you book and think of a normal $90 hotel, and odds are when you stay here you won't be neither disappointed or impressed. This is a typical hotel in your typical city. IE a normal, clean, adequate and decent hotel. No frills, but gets the job done pretty well, especially for the price. I was appreciative of the fast wi-fi in my room, which I did not expect, and the room was cavernous, which is both good (space)and bad (dark). Not really much near the hotel unless you have a car, btw (except for a great pizza joint next door). But drive 5 minutes and your pretty much anywhere you want to be in Long Beach. I'd stay again if I had to.

Easy access andclean. The hotel was clean and the pool was clean and accessible from all rooms.

This motel looked better from the outside and that's not saying much. The rooms were tired, shabby, and carpet filthy. Lesson learned-you get what you pay for. We ditched it after the first night and found a MUCH nicer hotel for only */more per night.

The rooms are very clean with all the amenities one expects in a good hotel. The furnishings are old and a bit shabby, but the beds are very comfortable, there were plenty of good-quality towels, and the lobby was staffed by pleasant and knowlegable people. It is within walking distance of affordable restaurants, and reasonably close to the university. Considering that its rates were at least $30/night less than surrounding hotels I think it may be one of the best bargains in the city.

The breakfast was pretty good and beds were comfortable with the right amount of pillows. Condition of rooms was poor. In room we found the framing around the broken bathroom mirror was removed and placed between the bed and wall. The clock in room made a loud static noise all night even after we shut our cell phones off. The drain plug on the sink was shut and we were unable to release. The front desk area was very nice and the employees were very professional. We were disappointed when we got into the rooms, but it was only for a one night stay so we kept our mouths shut.

The hotel was clean and reasonably priced which were the upsides of this establishment. Also, the free breakfast is pretty good. On the downside the beds were a back-breaker, it was fairly noisy all night and the transportation is not as advertised. There is limited shuttle spaces for the airport and port of Los Angeles so you have to sign up early for the ""free"" shuttle. Also the shutlles only run during the day which was not explained to us even when we called to verify that we could get an airport pickup prior to our flight. They said yes but when we arrived they wouldn't pick us up.

We were there for a family funeral. THe hotel staff was friendly and efficient. THe rooms were clean. I felt it was good for what we needed. There is a fast food across the street and close to places to go.

It was very friendly and clean, great location and comfy beds, slept like a baby, good complimentary breakfast. Can't think of anything. I would recommend this hotel I was worried not knowing the area, and it was very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was great! We had a very nice stay. The staff was very helpful and kind.

The staff at the this hotel was friendly and the room was clean. Adjoining rooms were noisy, probably due to poor building quality.

The High Quality Inn was a great experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I was grateful for the computer in the lobby so I could print out directions and do some research of the area. The cleaning crew was very friendly and did an excellent job of keeping not only the rooms, but the grounds clean there. On my second night there, I did complain about the all night party next door and the staff was willing to change my room, but it wasn't necessary because the party people checked out the next day. The location of the hotel was easy to find and in a convenient part of town.

Transportation from Long Beach Airport and Port of Los Angeles to hotel. Customer service an A+. If traveler is going to Port of Long Beach and needs to be there the day before the cruise, try this hotel. And they will be very happy to take you to the port on time and safe.

Hotel staff was friendly & helpfull. Rooms were not bad , but not great (good for the price) Best part...Free shuttle back and forth to our cuise line at no extra charge like most hotels, and they let us park our car there while on the cruise at almost no additional charge. Overall a good place for the price.

The lobby was remodeled. The rooms were filthy and the bed was hard as a rock. Very sketchy neighborhood, clientele and interior. I found hair in the bathroom, stains and weird, wet spots on the carpet, it was awful.

Other than the carpet being a little old and the bedspread looking in need of replacement, this was an okay hotel for the price. Good shower pressure. It seemed to be well cleaned- no hairs. It had a microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room. It had HBO and pay per view movies. It wasn't in an area that you'd like to take a walk in. The breakfast was pretty good. The staff was nice.

Very quiet. Fairly close to the Downtown. Pleasant and comfy stay for 7 nights. The room air was a little stale and there was no vent. Not too bothersome. I came to LA for a one-week conference, together with my mother. We wanted a place to sleep for 7 nights - close to the Convention Centre and where we could rest well. The Comfort Inn was very quiet and overall exactly what we needed. It has free parking and a shuttle service running from 9am to 5pm (not exceptionally precise, but if you are not in a hurry, very helpful). Great continental breakfast. Clean (it was only slightly bothersome that the room air was a bit stale, but keeping the door open for a few minutes at night was enough to solve that). Conclusion: A cheap, comfortable place that made our stay smooth and problem-free.

"this was really more like a three or four star hotel, lots of little extras very clean and secure eventhough it's not in the best part of town. included breakfast was good."

Great location, clean room, and helpful staff. Room location near the noisy laundry room. Hotel was in central location. Nice second floor room with partial view of queen marry and city skyline. The front desk staff was helpful, even after I mentioned an ant problem in the bathroom, which was taken care of while out of the room. Only other complaint was the squeaky dryers in the nearby laundry room at night. Would recommend to others.
