I stayed at the Quality Inn Harbor South because it was the least expensive hotel in the area with a gym. There were no weights and both the elliptical trainer and the exercise bicycle were broken.

Quality Inn Harbor South 1401 Bloomfield Avenue Baltimore, MD 21227 My wife and I have extensive travel time over the 8 years we have been together and belong to the Choice Privileges rewards programs and stay at these all the time. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO OF ANY HOTEL CHAIN IN THE US OR ABROAD!!!! Let's start at the beginning. We got this hotel because we were in Baltimore for Medical reasons and needed a restaurant in the hotel - or as most would call it ON SITE dinning. We were told by the front desk this was so when we booked. The hotel is 100 yards away at the top of a hill and is not easily accessed at all! So now one of us with bum leg in a wheelchair has to be an athlete. When I called the front desk to inquire as to where the on site restaurant was I was told very rudely it was on site and then the manager got on th phone and did the same. I finally just hung up because I guess they were right and I was wrong. All I wanted to know was where the on site restaurant was! Frustrated we went to a really good dinner at the restaurant. We worked up an appetite getting up the hill. On our way back we stopped by the front desk and asked for extra pillows and were told there were only 6 of them and they were all handed out. This was the same girl who doesn't understand On Site. We got back and I then got up and turned on my TV. This was barely visible. I swiveled the TV towards myself and the cable TV comes out of the TV. Only issue is the cord is still screwed in! The thing sheared off in the back of the TV! The thing was barely functioning when we got there and I guess we screwed it up by adjusting the TV. Well finally a woman who worked the night staff was helpful. I went down and begged to be moved to another room. She was nice enough to do it and she went to unoccupied rooms and got us some pillows. When we got to the new room it too had issues. The previous room was HC accessible and this was not. Understandable on short notice. The previou

It was not as close to the harbor as we would have liked. When arriving room was not as clean as would like, could tell that carpet was not vacuumed and towels and wash clothes were not present. After first days use of the coffee maker it was not refilled until requested 2 days later. There was only one restaurant close by and no place at all to have breakfast except for the continental breakfast supplied at the Inn.

This hotel was off the beaten path and not to clean. The room looked like it just was painted and to get to the lobby you had to walk past the smokers, standing outsude.

Negatives: no shuttle service, only food options are a gas station and a night club/restaurant, room should go for about half of what it costs, i didn't trust the room service staff to clean up my room, poor cable. Positives: quiet at night, free tea and coffee, near BWI IF YOU CANT RENT A CAR BECAUSE OF AGE: i would get a hotel across from BWI because they have a free shuttle service. otherwise you will spend atleast $50 on taxies. the light rail is a cheap and fast transportation. i wouldn't go back to baltimore. the whole town can be rough, especially at night.

The staff at this hotel was VERY friendly. Very helpful and knowledgable about the area. They did manage to clean the room properly the day after we arrived, but the room itself was small (too small) had dirty lampshades, dirty doors, dirty curtains, and bottom line was in need of renovation. It also smelled like someone had been smoking in it (it was a non-smoking room). The fitness facility was cardio equipment only, and on the lifestride machine, the pedals were loose. I didn't tell anyone, because I chose to use the stationary bike (which had no straps on the pedals). I paid over * per night for this hotel, and I now wonder why? This was a * per night hotel only. In fact, it is a MOTEL. On top of that, my daughter was in the hospital nearby, so it was only used for family who wanted a break to come back and take a nap. I tried to take a nap at 1:30 and the room I was in was above the hotel's laundry facility for sheets/towels. The people working around that area, and above it (maid service) were so loud that I had a hard time napping. But that I can attribute to them being outside. When in Baltimore, I will stay at a 200 plus hotel because apparently, you get what you pay for now, and that now means that * is now equal to * in this area. Not really impressed. Sorry.

The Hotel was a bit overpriced given its location since I had no car. There is no way, besides taking a long, maybe an hour or so, walk to get to downtown to catch the subway. The room was fine and the continental breakfast was fine, it was just in a bad location. Not a bad neighborhood, just remote from anything in Baltimore. If I had a car it would have been fine.

Front Desk was not informative or friendly. Room appeared to have been broken into at one time and roughly repaired. Not worth the money.

Wet laundry hanging off the balconys. Male guest walking around the lobby with no shirts on. Guest barbequeing dinner in the parking lot. Lobby outdated and dirty, and had a musty odor. Tthis DEFINATELY WAS NOT A 1/2 star hotel, maybe 1/2star at best!!!!! We chose not to stay there, as one male quest barked at my daughters as we went in.
