The Quality Inn in Gaylord, Michigan was the perfect location for our two night stay to attend a soccer tournament. However, I will never return to this Hotel. Room was completely infested with ants. I'm not talking just a few--the floor was moving. The front desk was very apologetic and moved us to a different (non-smoking) room which was MUCH better. When we were moving our stuff out of the room my husband mentioned to the housekeeper that we were moving to a different room because of the ants. She held up a can of ant spray and said that is why I have this. Obviously the hotel was quite aware there was a problem before sticking us into this room. The staff was very nice and friendly. I have no complaints there. The hotel was extremely overpriced. Feel I should have been compensated for the one night stay in a smoking, ant infested room.

The night manager was a very nice man. The breakfest buffett wasn't very good. Write off the exit. Very easy to get to. Clean, comfortable, and reasonable in price.

We recently stayed here and it was very nice. Too many reviews are too critical considering the price versus quality. This was an excellent value in nice room. They had a great indoor pool. The staff was great and the breakfast was one of the best we ever had. We are picky and demanding, but we try and watch our cost. this was a great. Dave Brighton, Mi

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was quite large. The pool and hot tub needed better cleaning and there were no pool towels available. We had to get them from the front desk, but nowhere does it tell you this. The food in the restaurant was okay, but was dissapointed with the free breakfast choices. Enough for kids but not adults.

The price was right for a one star and was conveniently located in the middle of the state. Needs some renovation, the place was showing its age.

Stayed for business. Great location next to the highway. They should advertise that the price includes a free breakfast in the morning and it is a regular breakfast and not a continental breakfast bar. Cable included the Big Ten Network.

This property needs help with employee training. Our room was not cleaned very good and when we asked to move the Front Dest gave us a hard time and stated that the room was clean. It seemed that we were the only one staying there. I would stay elsewhere when I'm in this area next time

The Quality Inn in Gaylord, MI is a reasonably priced hotel, with a pool and spa. For larger families, they offer well priced suites, with two bedrooms and a kitchenette. The restaurant was not what I had hoped (service VERY slow), but there are lots of good restaurants in the area.

Staff was excellent, bathrooms were nice and roomy. Towels were shabby and doors did not open well. I would definitely stay at the Quality Inn again. The staff went out of their way for me. The location was good, right near the interstate which helped me a lot. The rooms were very clean.

The hotel argued with me over the rate I had been given for my reservation. The hotel is old with peeling or torn wallpaper. The room had mildew on the shower curtain. The advertised free breakfast was restricted to minimal choices, hardly enough to feed the average person.

Our stay at the Quality Inn in Gaylord was very comfortable. We checked in and out with great ease. Our room was clean and very quiet. I liked the fact that there is a restaurant on site even though we did not use it.

Comfortable king bed, nice large shower with curved shower curtain bar. Pillows were not as fluffy, were very thin, but two pillows were too much. Hotel was nice for a short stay; it would have been nice if there was free continental breakfast. We were given coupons to the hotel restaurant for two dollars off per person, which really is not a lot when the breakfast buffet was $6.99 per person. I would go back again for a short stay but I would bring my own pillow.

This may just be the best hotel value in northern Michigan. The lobby is attractive and the staff greets you nicely and promptly. Our room was nice, too. I?m particular about the bathroom ? it has to be very clean and this one was. The on-site restaurant has an adequate, middle of the road menu. When you show your key card, you get 15% off your meal. My husband had clams both nights of our visit because the cook knew to avoid overcooking them. The inn also gives a coupon that can either be used for a breakfast or toward a buffet in the restaurant. We will definitely stay there again.

We had a good night's sleep in comfortable beds; the pool was right outside our window but there was no noise problem because it was actually in a separate building. Quiet and comfortable.

The pool was wonderful, as well as the breakfast. Not at all. It's a very good hotel at a reasonable price. Convenient in traffic - near the I75 but not noisy at all. Comfortable bedding and restroom. The most I like was the pool - it opened almost till 11pm, with the hot tub! Enjoyed this hotel very much!

Not a bad hotel. Room was clean/quiet and staff was nice and efficient. The attached restaurant is kind of beat up and the decor of the place is ugly. If you're looking for a quick and easy place to stay this isn't a terrible deal and it's right off I-75. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location. Very old, outdated room. Priced a bit high, nothing special about rooms, halls, check-in/out area. Everything is outdated which provides a generally old and used feeling.

It was quiet and not crowded. Friendly staff. Bath tub could be cleaner. Pool towels are too thin. The room and facility met my expectations, especially for the price.

Friendly staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. None. I found the front desk staff very helpful and accommodating when we decided to change the room that we originally chose. Late check in was not a problem. Very close and convenient to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.
