This hotel can easily acquire 5 stars - in the minus, that is.
Date of Stay:
September, 2007
Location couldn't be better but the hotel was rather dated, could have been cleaner (my room had a distinct musty odor) and parking was an adventure. The rooms were decent sized but the bath rooms were very small. There weren't many other features to the hotel (pool, fitness room, valet, etc.). Parking was on adjacent surface lot and our rental was broken into so I highly advise not leaving anything inside (thank goodness we hadn't). This was a 2 star hotel at a 3 to 4 star price.

Friendly and cooperative staff, early check-in, affordable. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. Only ice machine in the lobby, beat-up elevators. It was overall a nice stay. The appearance of the room was old fashioned but moderate. No fridge or microwave in the room, the elevator smelled a little and it was beat-up/old. However it was overall worth the money. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant staff was very friendly as well. Good food and a great location.

Location. Elevators were slow - some in use by service staff at busy checkout times.

The only thing I liked about the hotel was the location. The room was a mess.

Beautiful view. $20 for parking across the street. Great central downtown location, front desk was very helpful and knew the area was very well to give suggestions. Our room even came with a small balcony! It had wonderful views of the entire downtown. Everything a tourist wants from downtown Montreal is within walking distance of this hotel. Expect to pay $20 a night for parking across the street in an open lot though.

The location and the size of the rooms for the price, good value. The organization of the hotel, checking in was slow and the staff made mistakes.
Date of Stay:

Good location, in the center of the city. Smell in that hotel is not good. Additional parking fee of US$20 is not what I expected. It's a good location, convenient, with free access to internet. Bad smell of the room though, had to open windows to let fresh air in. Additional parking fee of US$20 is a bit more than I thought. Normally hotel would provide free parking for guests.

Great location, close to bars, restaurants & clubs. A bit noisy on the lower floors. Great location & comfy beds/pillows. Close walk to everything!

Location, big space in the room, facilities in the room. The noise of pubs in the street. Its very pleasure to be at the heart of Montreal downtown.

Cheap, good location, and spacious room. Staff was ignorant of local area, etc. If you want a cheap hotel in the downtown area, you can't go wrong here.

Convenient location. The price was wrong. It was a great hotel. However my itinerary for the price was off by over 30 dollars so that cut into my vacation expenses.

Great hotel for the price. Nothing to complain for the price. The hotel is at a good location within minutes of walking from many downtown attractions. The area is nice with many bars and restaurants. The room is quite spacious and personnel very friendly. Night parking free at meters between 9 pm to 7 or 8 am. Be sure to obey parking rules because the ticket will come very in time!

Most of all I liked location. There was a bar downstairs. Loud music was played till 3 a.m. The hotel was `clean and good for this price. But there is no parking, the bathroom was very small and it was impossible to sleep at night because of loud music in the bar near by.

Great location, great price for downtown. Mostly younger Americans who are partying are in the area or staying there. Spacious rooms and close to downtown attractions.

Proximity to major attractions, big rooms. No parking for their guests. I will definitely recommend this hotel because of its convenient location. The rooms are spacious and staff are friendly.

Big multi-channel color TV, friendly staff, taverns nearby. Music from nearby taverns, no continental breakfast. Good value. Will stay here again.

Location is very convenient to Rue Crescent and Metro. A request to repair a leak in the bathroom sink was never pursued. Hotel has very large rooms with a table and sofa. Location is excellent, right in the heart of central Montreal. Outside of the hotel is deceiving in that it does portend the rooms inside.

The location was excellent and the staff was outstanding. Nothing. We were within walking distance of everything. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was outstanding and went out of their way to make sure that you were satisfied and comfortable.
