staff was very helpful, it was a nice place

Room wasn't as clean as I would have liked, especially the bathroom.

Do not stay here! The carpet was wet by the door (with who knows what). There was trash on the floor in the bathroom and mold on the shower curtain covering the bottom foot or so. The iron was broken and put rust spots on my clothes. The ironing board is on the wall, like a decoration. The pool is dirty and tiny. The rooms are right off the main lobby (at least the main floor non-smoking ones). The carpet is stained and dirty. You felt like you were in a sleazy motel and wanted to sleep with your clothes on. If we hadn't already paid up front, we would have checked out immediately!

This hotel was a good value. Very Clean. Would stay again, especially good food locations throughout.

Whirlpool. Service. The hotel staff was rude. I did not have towels for showers and told them. They brought one towel my spouse and I had to share the towel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

We traveled with our soccer team in which all the boys on our soccer team now has ear and skin infections from the dirty pool water, as stated for the reason of our physicians.

If you are looking for a mediocre hotel, find another one besides this one because the service is poor and if things don't go right, you are not going to find anyone there that will give a crap. PS. They also have a hot tub they are trying to pass off as a swimming pool.

Rooms were large and clean and comfortable. Great location many restaurants nearby. Many within walking distance. Nice place to stay for the low price.

I liked that it had convenient places to eat out at that was located around the hotel. I didn't even have to get in my car. The bathroom shower water pressure. It was a really good hotel just to stay at for a day and to catch a way to the airport since it was in a good location. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was spacious, and there was access to a pool and an exersise room that seemed in reall good condition. I liked the area with the shopping and the restaurants. The bathroom does need updating; however, I really needed a quick shower and the water pressure was extremely low so that's about the only complaint I had.

Accommodating front desk person who had no non-smoking rooms available. The smoking room stunk, made me sick and could not be aired out. There should be 100% non smoking rooms in each of the properties you list.

Comfy beds, big room. Bad smell in the entry way had to hold my breath. Location was near restaurants other than fast food which I liked, fast food gets boring. Lobby and breakfast bar were terrific. My 3rd floor window was broken so they had it taped together. I heard noisy guest doors shutting late at night that woke me.

Pet friendly and customer friendly. Small pool and although it was due to bad weather, lots of icy patches. Wonderful place! In fact booked a second night because it was so nice and accommodating. Breakfast items were low but let the front desk know and they happily took care of it right away. The staff is very nice and accommodating to me and my two large breed dogs (St Bernard & black lab/blue heeler mix) despite the fact that the hotel guest book says no pets in hotel. Enjoyed our stay immensely! Could use an open fenced dog run area with a canopy (so it is still useable during all weather conditions) but it is a beautiful place and would stay there again readily!.

Location, updated, friendly staff. Hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. Decent place to stay for short term. Clean and friendly, great location off 1st avenue and Collins Rd.

Continental breakfast had nice choices. Beds seemed very broken down, shower hardly worked, slamming hallway doors. I know hallway doors need to be "fire" doors, but the doors on the second floor at least, were very noisy! The bed I had was so broken down that if I lay on my side, I'd roll almost off!! And of course then I shouldn't sleep very well, being on alert so I didn't fall offhand the shower hardly worked at all!! Oh and the room wouldn't cool down, even throat was cool outside, so the room was hot all night. The breakfast had a nice selection, but the "Biscuits and gravy" gravy was cold? Food safe temperature? The lid had no handle so dropped into the gravy if you tried to open it.

It was very clean, very smoke free. My mother lost her hand lotion and felt certain that the housekeeping staff took it. That was disappointing. The hotel was great. It was a little farther out than I anticipated from my meetings in Iowa City. However, it was fine. It was very clean and smoke free. I do not know if the housekeeping staff took my mother's hand lotion, but she was very upset to say the least. I reported the incident. Everything else was great.

Rooms were nice. Need more help up front, no one available to restock breakfast bar. Room was nice, pool is small.
