The Quality Inn at Carneys Point, NJ was the worst hotel I have ever visited. I checked out, five minutes after I checked in. The first sign was the garbage overflowing from the trash bin as we entered the hotel. When we entered the hotel there was a dank odor coming from the carpet in the hallway. The same smell was evident when we entered the room. When we pulled back the bed covers, not only did we notice that the sheets didn't fit the bed, we also noticed that the linen was not clean. The sheets were grey and did not look fresh. We checked out immediately.

The room was clean and nice. The public stairs, walkways were littered, dirty. As I entered the hotel, I was disturbed by how dirty and littered the carpet in the halls, stairway and foyer was. I was surprised that our room was nice and pretty clean which I certainly was glad about.

We have normally had great luck with Quality Inns while we've traveled. While the pictures of the hotel are real, they are obviously taken at specific angles to hide the rest of the hotel. The hotel is situated on a dead end street, near the interstate, next to a trucker gas station and a local "trailer" looking bar. The hotel is also the same building as an econo lodge?? If you check both, they each have the same address, minus a suite # for the Quality Inn - how that happens, I don't know. When we arrived to an empty hotel, we were given a room in the very back corner of the hotel, near the washer/dryer building, with the entrance door under steps to the second floor. Traveling with women in the family, I asked to change that. We were next given a room with black lines on the tub, an outlet in the bathroom w/out an outlet cover and a lamp which had a short. They are trying to 'renovate' this hotel but have a long, long way to go. Some of the folks 'staying' here seemed questionable, as well. There are other hotels at this same exit you should check into before staying at this location - not a great environment when traveling with a family.

Convenient for the business purpose I needed it for. The restaurant was not in business. The price was good for the location.

"Hotel was very clean, staff went over and above to create a great experience"

Nothing. Filthy, unsafe, deserted. Horrible. Housekeeping staff was frightening, place was filthy, smelled and no locks on exterior doors. Deserted. Awful.
