We should have done our homework. We chose this hotel because we needed a first floor room since wife and I were in the area biking at the local state park and wanted to keep the bikes in the room. Upon entering we noticed we were given the handicapped accessible room, so that meant large open shower, which I could deal with, but the room was musty and it looked like the floor wasnt' even cleaned. In the bathroom, mold on the shower wall, the showerhead and drain was clogged. TV remote didn't work. The bed was was lumpy and thin and their were stains on the bottom sheet. The room itself was just plain gross. We wrote all of this in a note and handed it to the staff at checkout...oh and we noticed coming back to checkout that a lot of the matresses were outside of the lower floor rooms. We'll never ever go back. Lesson learned.

We thought the room looked nice and was clean. The bed was hard and felt like springs were coming through. We did not sleep good at all, and both had a backache in the morning. The air conditioner would turn off and the room became very hot. It would not turn back on unless you hit the stop button and turned it back on. It would then run for a while and then shut off again.

The motel was really not kept up very well. It was actually scary, and my thirteen year old daughter piled up the chairs in front of the door!!!! That says it all.

Restaurant and bar was OK.

We got a fairly last minute reservation, since the town was packed that weekend (Penn State's Blue-White game weekend). We found a needle and thread in the bed (pulled through all layers of bedding), and trash in the corners of the room. The room smelled musty and didn't look clean overall. We didn't complain, because we were too tired. I did not actually sleep on the sheets--luckily we had covers with us that I wrapped myself in. When discussed the next morning, were told nothing could be done because it was prepaid through Travelocity.

This hotel was ok for business travel. The wireless internet worked well. It was very loud with the people sitting in the outdoor lounge, management did not seem to ask them to be quiet. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent for getting to anything you would need while staying out of town. There are a ton of restaurants and shopping right near by.

I enjoyed the convenience of the continental breakfast and newspaper.

We went as a group and our reservations to stay in close by rooms were disregarded. One room had to have the door replaced while we waited since the key didn't work. My room smelled of smoke and was musty. There was mold on the bathroom walls and garbage left behind the bathroom door. The dinner was nicely priced w/ large portions but we had to wait an hour to get it. Thefree breakfast was the only good thing about this hotel.

Sleep in your car if you must, but don't stay at this hotel. Upon entering our room, we were overcome by a strong musty smell, like the roof had leaked and soaked the carpeting or something. The carpeting was crinkled and stained, along with the bedspreads. The beds were very soft and lumpy. The heating/AC unit was falling apart and didn't work correctly. There was no microwave in the room, but was listed as an amenity.

Friendly staff, clean, quiet, free breakfast. Hallways and stairways could use some updating.

Covenant to lots of historic landmarks and Penn State University. Nothing to dislike. Very clean and the hotel staff was always friendly as usual. Have stayed at this motel for several years now and will continue to do so. Highly recommend this motel to travelers.

Nothing. Dirty and Smelly. I would not every go to this hotel unless you wanted to stay in a dirty, old, and smelly room.

Affordable, good locations, nice pool. Rooms were really small. This is a very nicely-kept older hotel. The pool was great for the kids. Rooms were small, but were neat and clean. The only complaint we have is that one of the woman managers seemed intent on harassing the guests at the pool. She started telling people that they couldn't do this and that in the pool area, even though nothing she was complaining about, were listed on the "pool rules" sign that was posted. I was surprised at her behavior because at check-in she was very nice. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay.

Check-in staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom - toilet paper holder, room - 3 of 4 lights on wall switch, 3 days ran out of OJ. The hotel had some great features but was a little run down. There was a restaurant and bar. The outdoor pool was clean and had steps along with ladders. There was a small exercise room. There was a washer and dryer for $1.50. I had a micro/frig which was a nice size. The room had 3 of 4 lights connected to the wall switch. I was able to move one bed light to a seperate wall plug. The toilet paper holder was elbow level when sitting. The sink area was separate from the shower/toilet but, both were on the same switch. Shower/toilet switch had been removed. The breakfast area was ok and they had fruit, one waffle maker ceral and bagels but, 3 of 5 days they ran out of OJ. It served its purpose.
