Difficult to follow directions to find hotel. Room adequate, if a little shabby. Very clean though. Hotel a little worn round the edges.... however, our room had a fantastic view over the whole bay, so we were happy.

Tired room but fantastic views and brilliant location. Breakfast was a bit of a carve up with long waits and poor organisation.

One night stayOur room was very acceptable albeit a little tired overall, needs a makeover. Wash and shower facilities were adequate but the shower curtain tended to invade the occupant's space, perhaps a screen might be better. Plenty of soap and shower gel but difficult to get at! Beds were comfortable and the sea view spectacular. Lounge bar lacked a good range of drinks (Ginger wine particularly) and no snacks available.

Nothing to shout home aboutThe hotel is in a perfect local just off the Hoe, great views of The Sound, close to the centre of town, bars and restaurants. Room large and very clean. Only had breakfast which was adequate, same basic items every day. Whole of hotel needs updating but is more than adequate for a short stay and you are not too fussy.

Perfectly adequateWe stayed at the Quality Inn for only 1 night, the breakfast was excellent, the rooms were a little dated but because the price was so reasonable I didn't mind at all. We had a beautiful sea view and were within a short walk from the city centre and the hoe. The staff were all polite and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

One night onlyExcellent value for money. It could not have been better sited in terms of shops, the Hoe and the Barbican . Good breakfast in the morning set us up for the day, shame we couldn't stay longer. I hope we shall return in the near future.

you pay for what you getreceptionist excellent, but room was shabby curtains falling down, bath dirty also when we came back after concert , wanting something to eat we where disappointed with options and service. They need to get there act together, breakfast was not brilliant either, for £12 pound you would do better to go to cafe just outside hotel sorry for bad review but thats how it is.

Quality Hotel PlymouthHaving booked this romm through Late Rooms.com for £85 for one night including breakfast we were expecting half reasonable hotel. On our arrival reception were extemly helpful. Our room was on the top floor which had breathtaking views over the see and had just been refurbised with new new bathroom and bedroom fittings, exceeding our expectations. If I ever have a need to stay in Plymouth again I would certainly stay there again but would request the top floor again as this has been built ontop of the old hotel.

don't stay here it is old, worn and smellywe didn't even stay the night, we demanded our money back. the hotel is run down, smells of cheap bleach and fags and the attitude of the staff was poor. we requested a non-smoking room twice before our arrival and upon arrival and was given a room that had been smoked in. the whole hotel needs refurbishing. it was definately not what we expected and we were much happier in a small b & b down the road. def not like the 'quality hotel' advetisments on t.v.!

The view was worth it!!!It was a tired / dated hotel ( i was told it is starting a refurb soon) all in all the staff were helpful, breakfast was okay, the price was about right but the view was STUNNING i found it difficult to leave the window ( its a boaters heaven ) the town and local pubs/restaurant and open air swimming pool all within a 5/10 minute walk. when we go back to plymouth i will stay here again just for the view.

Great views if you go for a sea view room, easy walk into Plymouth town centre, loads of free parking but this hotel is in need of refurbishment. Competitive room prices take this into account though.

What a view!!!!We had a view of Plymouth Sound from our room which in our minds comes a close second to the view we had of the Niagara Falls and the Taj in India. It was perfect. Thanks for the booking.

The Hotel looks a little Tired and well worn, but the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean, for what we wanted it was quite adequate.

First classCant fault this hotel, clean room. friendly helpfull staff. fantastic views. To think we nearly passed this hotel up to stay in a travel lodge, what a waste that would have been.

the hotel made a fantastic base for visiting plymouth. the view from our bedroom was spectacular and kept our 8 year old occupied till late at night. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and well cooked.

DisappointmentHaving read reviews and descriptions I was expecting something different, but the hotel is scruffy, dirty and staff are de motivated. From its bleak exterior ( 1970s concrete) through the reception (badly painted and walls a cigarette packet left on the patio for days) to the rooms ( scratched and broken furniture and dirty bathroom) it was not a comfortable stay. Hoping that the restaurant would cheer me up ? - dirty plates, poor food and breakfast served on grimy table with no tablecloth. Then the lift did not work. Then you cant get wireless in the rooms. The staff when faced with dealing with complaints had an air of indifference. This barely scrapes into value for money. But! - nice view if you pay for it.

Poor serviceThis room was shabby, tiny, very noisy and had no atmosphere at all. Service at reception, bar and dining room was practically non existent.

Fantastic View but very tiredThe hotel itself when you approach looks tired and as you enter into the reception is does get better. The receptionist took a while to come out of the office to greet us and the service we received was ok but just ok.The rooms pictured on the internet particularly the executive room (which we had booked) was not at all like it once we were allocated our key.The wind whistled through the windows and if you wanted fresh air the main bedroom door whistled too.The breakfast was excellent although there were only young girls (who when you spoke to them were very pleasant) did not have any sense of urgency in terms of setting up and clearing down tables. One girl who on Sunday morning was clearly setting up for either the lunch time or evening completely ignored the fact that the table we were sitting at was not set up at all for breakfast and whilst my boyfriend went to get coffee someone actually took his chair.Overall a fantastic location the best for a hotel but you cannot expect people to return without good customer service. Would not book again.
