This was my first beach vacation. I enjoyed walking along the beach when ever I felt like. We didn't rent a car so sight seeing was limited. We did take the suncoast bus to Madeira Beach where we visited John's Pass. It is a large dock area where boats start and stop at, we ate at Bubba Gump's which was ok, I think the Delgosia Italian resturant may have been better, I read it was a local favorite. My 18 year old daughter,who I was traveling with enjoyed watching the the pelicans that sat around there.We had a sweet treat at Kilwins chocolate shop, she had a cone and I had a stick pretsil dipped in carmel,pecans and drizzled with chocalate which was very good, we also bought some peanut butter fudge,which had no chocolate on it! We have had peanut butter fudge before that we had to eat through a lot of chocolate first, we were pleased to see this was only peanut butter. Most of the stores there are typical tourist traps though. The water on the channel was warm, so was the gulf water. Which I enjoyed because it still allows you to cool off,but not freeze when getting in. For the most part its clean, but I wish smokers would stop putting there butts out in public, do they think the world is their person ashtray? Makes me sick to see our beautiful world littered with butts, found on beach, parking lots, streets, etc. I also saw a condom floating in the water close to the shore. The local people come to the channel area,which is what this hotel is located on,and dock at the beach directly in front of the hotel, and this was over the 4th of July holiday, much celebration was done, the hotel staff is very consciencious about this, and pick up the little piggy's litter daily, too bad people don't pick up after themselves better, I'm sure some do, its just the ones that don't that ruin it for everyone else. The only bad thing I can say about the hotel room was the bathroom is very small where the sink is, and traveling with an 18y/o girl, well need I say more. But you don'

The size of the room and beds for the price was exceptional. Very small beach area. I was looking for something inexpensive since we were coming from Orlando on vacation. We stayed one night and then went to Busch Gardens the next day. I was very pleased with the hotel for the price. Would recommend to others.

The Hotel is very nice for the money & the Bed & pillows were really Comfy. The location is perfect for the area with restuarants & stores nearby. The beach is nice but as others have said, on the weekend boats come into the beach and anchor there & drink all day long with Loud music blaring. This should be stopped as the patrons of the Hotel are paying for the beach & should be able to use it on weekends without the distraction of those people.. The weekdays are better without them. The pool & bar are good with a view of the waterfront, etc. Parking is free as is the beach lounges, etc & there is always great coffee to be had in the lobby at all times.. We would definatly stay there again if in the area- but would plan on going to another beach on the weekend. Clearwater beach is close by, but is far too crowded. You can just go across the bridge to the beach & park at Sand Key which is also free. All in all I highly recommend this Hotel.

Enjoyed this room very much. For what was described as a "partial gulf view" we had a very nice view of the gulf from the 2nd floor balcony - a great place to sit and watch the boats go by. Beds were very comfortable, the in-room fridge and microwave were nice features. This hotel is about a quarter mile down the road from the public beach, Pier 60 and the marina, so it's a little slower pace and quieter than down near the pier. There are shops and restaurants, as well as a very handy Walgreens Drug Store, across the street. A very small private beach is probably a better choice for sunbathing than swimming; if you really want to swim I think you'll be happier choosing the very nice heated pool, or walking down to the public beach. There wasn't much parking available on the weekend, but parking was well monitored to make sure no one but hotel guests and employees were parking in the lot. Plenty of parking was available during the week. Hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. Rooms have recently been redone; it isn't a five-star hotel, but the room is fresh, comfortable and will serve families or couples on vacation very nicely. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Good location for big beach vacation within walking distance and smaller hotel beach. Memorial day crowd got somewhat raucous in the attached tiki bar. The hotel met our expectations for the price and service; short walk to the large, clean beach walk and beach at Clearwater, and nice, small private beach too. Good hotel service. The attached, 24 hr IHOP restaurant was very convenient.

The hotel was nice; very convenient location; we did not have a car nor did we need one. Pool and beach were nice but you need to get down early and reserve chairs if the weather was nice; none were available by noon (so they probably need to invest in more; it was like being in Vegas). Rooms are adequate, not huge but fine for the two of us. The tiki bar was a nice amenity, too.

I was looking for a nice hotel on the beach with a gulf view but waited until the last minute and this was the only available, I was a little hesitant but made my reservation anyways since I had no other choice. As soon as I walked into the place and saw how clean it was and how friendly the staff was I realized I had made a great choice. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable, the gulf view was amazing, very tranquil at night, perfect for romance and/or to hang out with the family. I will definitely come back again, this hotel has the service and cleannes of a higher rated hotel. I highly recommend it.

Room was clean and cozy with the view of the beach as promised. IHOP was located at the hotel, which made it easy for a quick breakfast. Went out one night and came back to the hotel around 11:30pm with no parking in sight. The beach is very strict about who parks where, so we worried about being towed. The hotel didn't offer any alternative parking, either. The other people in the hotel never slept and were very loud. However, we have stayed at many hotels and only had a quiet experience once. Of all the hotels, this was the best for the money if you want to go to Clearwater Beach.

we stayed here for 3 nights origanally had 2 nights booked from march 29th - april 2nd 2009. beautiful rooms and view of the gulf. staff were very friendly, rooms were exceptionally clean. this is an awesome place to stay and would definately recommend this hotel to everyone. our children loved the heated pool as well, there were also pool towels always readily available. the staff and management are very very friendly and make you feel at home. the photos of this hotel do no justice as it is way nicer in person.

This hotel was the perfect spot for a family vacation or even a romantic getaway. The sand on the beach of the hotel was like baby powder under your feet, and the tiki bar was a great treat! We sat on the beach and watched the dolphins play in the water in the evening. Every person should have the experience of the ocean life. The hotel was so very clean and when we had a little issue with the refrigerator in the room the staff was knocking at our door in minutes after the call was placed. Oh and beds were so comfortable and clean. Always fresh clean towels as well. I would not hesitate to book a room at this hotel for our next stay on Clearwater Beach.

It was so nice to relax by the beach yet be able to walk to any place and have fun without having to really drive and feel like I was on an island.

Some ocean view was okay. Parking was very cramped and had to have permission for friends to park. Elevators were small, for the price should have had all ocean view and for parking they had a person checking everyone for permits I had my 2 sons from out of town Orlando and they had a time limit to visit 2 hours that is wrong, they said only one permit one car and that was not revealed to me until I checked in, we shared the room so we had 2 cars. They were kind of rude about it also.

Stayed at this hotel while checking out the Tampa area for a winter home. Friendly service, clean rooms and convenient location made this a great choice for me. Took a partial ocean view room and was able to enjoy the view from my balcony.

We were very pleased when we had returned to this hotel with all the new renovations that had been made. The room was nicely updated with new flat screen tv and was quite spacious. The bathroom was nicely done as well. Beach was small, but nice so kids couldn't wander off too far. Good area for looking for seashells with the kids. Overall nice place, not fancy but would definitely recommend.

for my first time being in clearwater beach...the trip was amazing! The hotel staff are very friendly & are willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy. They istantly looked up information for my boyfriend and I for activities. The rooms are very clean!!! Also, pool is a decent size but if you wanted bigger you walk right onto the beach which is like 10 steps. Right at the beach are jet ski rentals and parasailing. Great clubs at a resort called shepards which is 3 doors down form quality hotel. Next year my boyfriend & I will definately be going back to Quality Hotel! & WE CAN'T WAIT!

Friendly staff, nice room/view, we had a wonderful time! I cannot think of one thing I did not like! The hotel staff was great! The room was very clean and big enough for all of us (three adults and two kids). The view was amazing and the beach is right there. The swimming pool was clean and there was a little outside bar too! We were traveling with children and it was nice to see there were a lot of other families and not just spring breakers (we did see a few and they looked like they were having a great vacation too!). Overall, we had a wonderful experience! I would and have recommended this hotel.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The last time, 4 years ago, was nice. But this time: wow, have things changed in Clearwater Beach. Lots of new high-rises. And the rennovations at this hotel are superb. I recommend splurging for the ocean view room. Worth every penny. Lovely room decor, comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom, frig/micro in room. We watched from our balcony the singer in the gazebo down at the pool. Close to all kinds of things. Walking distance to putt-putt golf, drugstore, and a great Italian restaurant across the street. Fun bar too with great drink special, also across the street. We hated to leave.

This hotel is wonderful. The size is a little smaller than those around, but the service is top notch. The view from our 5th floor room was amazing, and the room perfect.
