Clean room, quite. Convenient shuttle service. Good value for $ you spent.

Very helpful staff. Nicely decorated. Room was smelly. My family and I were stranded overnight at the Atlanta airport. Hotel was a good, inexpensive option. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They provided us with missing toiletries since we had no bags. The room looked nice but had a smell to it.

room was nice. The shuttle from the airport was not so convenient. We had to wait around smelly vans for almost half an hour for the shuttle from the airport. The info given to us about Midtown by the clerk was inaccurate. But someone else gave us the same info. We had to walk 15 blocks to find a restaurant in an area purported to have "lots of cute little restaurants.

Usually when we have to go to Oakland for business, it's hard for us to find a comfortable hotel. SF is too far for a morning meeting in Oakland. The Best Western University Inn was a very nice option. Clean, unique. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. We were all impressed. The service was nice although a little slow at the front desk

The rooms was clean, staff was kind, convenient location.(Just off from 80)Fair sized room. TV didn't have good reception. A staff didn't have clue for neighborhood.

The restaurant, Pesto prepared awesome meals. The room was nicely furnished and the wireless internet was great and the ease to plug electronics in. I did not like the scent of the hallway and the room. Need to have a neutralizing air freshener for a pleasant smell. I had to use my own Febreze. The overall experience was pleasant. Staff and the service were great. I just believe that they need to work on having the hallways and rooms smell clean. No matter how great the rooms and common areas look, if the place does not have a pleasant smell, your perception is that the place is not clean.

Clean rooms, reasonable price, decent breakfast for free, close to downtown Berkeley, swimming pool, laundry (very useful), GREAT staff, very friendly and responsive to requests. BUT bad plumbing in bathroom, no hot water during day, noisy refrigerator, walls and doors not soundproofed. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but it was conveniently located and good if you?re on a budget."

I liked the chair in the room that had an ottoman to put my feat on. I did not like the lobby set up (none) and the smell of the room. I think that for being under construction at the moment and remodeling, the hotel prices should be at an all time low. The remodeling is so inconvenient for customers. The smell due to the recent painting or plastering is horrible. And the elevators need work on, because they are very slow and also smell awful. That's my opinion as well as my wife's. Thank you.

The rooms are quite large, clean and comfortable. My room faced University Ave, but was quiet.Staff was very friendly and helpful. In my room the toilet did not work well. Location is close to the university, transportation and to other major attractions"

Location. Everything else. Hotel was close to the airport but not in the best neighborhood; it was old and kind of run down.

Location. Dirty, bad service, no hot water, loud neighbors - doors slamming all night. Don't go. It was dirty, the service was bad, no hot water and all night I heard doors slamming and people carrying on.

Access. Very poor maintenance and appearance. A/c broken. Beds were very uncomfortable, the air conditioner did not work, general appearance of hotel undesirable.

Nothing it was Nasty, unclean, and bad. Filth, no towels, no pool, bad hotel. Please remove this hotel from your list. It smelled, it is old. Unclean, the staff would not leave towels in room, keys were constantly unusable. Very poor hotel do not recommend.

The price seemed good. The room was not clean. Garbage under bed, dirty drinking glasses. The hotel price is good compared to other hotels in the area, but I felt that I got what I paid for, low prices low quality. The room was not very clean. The drinking cups had been used before, lots of garbage under the bed, and the stuff seemed unfriendly at times. A good place to stay if you are in a bind, but not for pleasure. I will not stay here by choice again, but because I have to.

Bar service and food at night, and the staff working them. The crappy room, dirty, checks in clerk, location, location. I have been to Iraq and I had better conditions and felt safer there. The front desk was good to me in person checking in but the phone rang with other guests already in and he was rude to them. I thought paying more for a room it would be ok but I want a refund for this the location was bad, and the locals hung out in the bar being loud, rude, and ignorant. The room had bugs on the floor and in the sink. The shower floor was slippery I almost fell. The towels were white in places, and had dark red spots on them. The floor in the room was dirty; my white socks became brownish black in one night. There were dark red stains on the floor. Light switches did not work, and outlet plates on the walls fell off as the door slammed shut.

I did not like anything about it! It was dingy, it felt unclean and unkempt. I hated it!
