Stayed at the hotel for two nights as it was the venue for a wedding reception we were attending. The room was awful curtains hung up with string, cord for bathroom very dirty, bathroom very tatty, walls were not clean. We did complain to the owner who was very rude and told my family to leave if we wanted to. We use alot of hotels and I have never been treated like this before. The only good thing about this hotel were the staff they were brilliant.

2 day weekend breakHotel was exactly what I expected from the description and the other reviews. Room and bath fine. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast fine - a good selection (would personally have liked scrambled rather than only fried eggs), but food in Blue Moon restaurant extremely good. Creaky stairs disturbed me a bit as my room right next to them but that probably wouldn't be noticed in any other rooms.

Our stayVery happy with the Quality Hotel. For the rate paid it was definitely better than we had expected. Closer to town than we had thought from the maps and parking was fine. All staff were very friendly.

I booked a single room but instead of a view of the "grounds" as suggested in the write-up, it was a small dark room with a FROSTED window. I was, however, upgraded to a double room which I was very happy with.Very pleasant staff and very nice atmosphere, and the inclusive dinner was wonderful value.

Fourth visitI have used this Hotel on four occasions so far this year. Aside from a very minor issue checking in, the service was very good and the staff were both friendly and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel as a very good value for money venue.

You get what you pay forThe hotel was very basic and the rooms were very tired. The hotel has lots of potential and is in a fantastic location, close to the town centre. However, the rooms were very dated, furniture and walls were marked. It would benefit from refurbishment. Plus I was awoken at 5am as the water pipes which were very noisey. The dinning area was rather modern compared to the bedrooms and it looked as though it had been recently refurbished. Breakfast was good.I think this hotel would benefit from refurbishing its rooms.

Good value for BournemothAll lower areas such as reception, Bar, and dinning area very nice but unfortunately rooms quite dated and desperatley need a power shower!Staff very enthusiastic and helpful, breakfast better than expected so can't be faulted.Overall very good value in light of how close to the town, beach, and nightlife so no taxi's needed.

Do not take children to this hotel ,Although they advertise this as a family hotel it is not , we paid for a junior suite as we took my 3 year old son there was a double bed and single bed which sounds fine. the room its self was not good it was smokey, the bed was broken as was TV & Telephone, I did mention this to reception but they ask me why I didnt phone down to tell them , they asked if we wanted a paper in morning which we said yes none was delivered, breakfast was very poor cheap to company us in our hotel was numerous hen do and stag do.s . and our room was situated above a bar ... which they forgot to tell us when we checked in that they were also having a 21st party that night... we are a young couple and dont really moan about much but this is was a really poor hotel , I dont mean to be rude but it defiantly wasnt worth the money we paid

A DORSET BREAKThis is the third time I have stayed at this Hotel this year (2009). I enjoyed staying at the Hotel; the staff were friendly, the food good and the accommodation was excellent value for money. A minor quibble was an error regarding the Newspaper I ordered, but this was dealt with in a most pleasant and efficient manner. I would mention that the volume of the music from the \"Hancocks\" bar (on the Friday night) was intrusive, but the noise ceased at midnight.I would recommend staying at this Hotel.

Staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly - could not fault anyone. They were all lovely. Breakfast was very good but had meal in hotel one evening and didn't really enjoy it - the food was very greasy and not particularly well presented. I think they had a new chef so perhaps he was still settling in. The rooms were lovely and clean and the maids replenished tea/coffee/biscuits etc every day. There was also a fridge in the room which was great. Would definitely stay there again but don't think I would eat in restaurant in evening.

Budget accomodationBooked a cheap room at relatively short notice – had fairly low expectations. Room itself was budget as expected. Hotel offered food but never taken up so can’t comment. Cleaning staff seemed to do a good job given the general budget decor. Reception staff found to be very helpful and gave useful information on local area which increased overall satisfaction (View maybe biased by lady at reception who was also very attractive!) Hotel in good location for beach: 5 min walk and town: 8min walk. Parking available on site though seemed to reach capacity at peak times. Would I book again? – for the same price – yes.

Good value and good locationThe discounted price is good value for the excellent location. Free parking is a bonus.The fabric of the public areas on the ground floor is in good decorative order but the corridors to the rooms are old fashioned and need redecoration. Our room was adequate. The music from the bar is loud but stopped at 11pm. We stayed on a Thursday and this could be different at weekends or for functions.Management ResponseWe are appreciative of the Guest's comments and would point out that the Hotel is undergoing a refurbishment programme which includes all public areas. At the moment, we have finished the Ground Floor but have not yet started work on the corridors. Regarding the music from the Bar, we would advise that on Thursday nights we offer a Salsa Class in our Hancocks Bar and that music does continue until 10:30 - 11:00 p.m. If at any time a Guest indicates that noise from this is a problem, we will immediately instruct the Salsa Tutor to lower the music levels. We sincerely hope that this did not detract greatly from the Guest's stay with us and should they decide to stay with us again we would be happy to offer them a room in a different part of the Hotel, away from the music (subject to availability).

The hotel was good value for money with the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in any hotel. The rooms however were nothing like the ones on the web and were a little sad. The hotel had one major flaw in that it was very noisy, noise from the bar below and from the next rooms and
