Quality hotelGreat value for money very friendly staff - quality

The hotel itself was fine. The lobby/lounge area was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly but a little too casual (tending to gossip with each other before noticing you needed their attention). Our room was comfortable and clean, but the door was right next to the bed which was a bit awkward. The water pressure in the shower and sink was incredible....it was great in the shower! But the sink water came out so forcefully that it splashed all over and soaked my clothes and the floor. Also, it was about a 15 minute walk to a place to eat/drink which wouldn't be too bad if it was nice out, but it was freezing cold so we got a cab back. Also, there were no vending machines in the place. My boyfriend had to run across the street and down a block or so to grabs some snacks. On the plus side, the front desk staff had a cab waiting for us (as we requested) at 5am to take us to the airport and it was not expensive at all.

This hotel is very run down & dilapidated.

Breakfast was excellent. Friendly service and good selection. Hotel room was ok but a bit tired looking and out of date. Also bed mattress dipped in the middle so not the most comfortable night sleep.

The accommodation was basic and the kitchen was closed at the time of my visit. However, the cost of the hotel was very reasonable and the location was good.

We booked accommodation as it was fairly central to town and reasonably priced, upon arrival we noticed our room smelt musty almost damp....the bedroom above us flooded soaking our carpet and bathroom, we tried to ring reception but the telephone didnt work in fact nothing electrical in the room worked (television, kettle, phone) someone finally came up and said they would clean while we were out, I dont believe this happened as the carpet was saturated and there were pools of water in our bathroom. In the morning the room smelt so bad we left and decided to shower when we got back home

Grim, but good valueFirst impressions were not great. The room was small, and grimly decorated in beige, the bed was small and hard and had joke pillows that distribute evenly either side of your head when you lay on them. The bathroom was ok, though the sink tap was stiff and the bath plug broken. Lots of interesting stains to look at on the seventies carpet and some real quality fag burns in the insufficient bed linen. But, this is a £40 hotel, the shower was great (though it did distribute a fair amount of water onto the bathroom floor- it was VERY powerful), and the greasy English breakfast great- with real coffee as opposed to instant which i know another friend got down the road in another hotel. Bar open till 4am too. I'd stay again, though i think my wife would prefer a tent in the carpark.......good cheap accomodation for a bunch of friends going to a wedding, which is why we were there...

Not such a quality hotel, it needs a lot of updating. Not such a quality hotel, it needs alot of updating. If you stay in room 121 be very aware that you will be woken at about 5.30am with the sound of extractor fans right outside your room, also the banging of the water pipes when people are using the water. The sign by the reception and around the hotel says to ask for a reduced price breakfast from the receptionist, when we asked we were told that we would have to pay full price because we did not order it the night before.

Great value for money!Stayed at the quality hotel in Birmingham this week. Easy to find, good parking, very friendly receptionist, clean room, quite comfy bed, powerful hot shower, nice buffet style English breakfast. All in all a good experience and great value for money. I would stay there again and would recommend others too as well. Only bad comment would be the lift decor lol!

Very satisfied clientsWe had an excellent stay at this hotel and thought the value for money was exceptional. Large comfortable twin room. The staf were helpful and polite. It was very convenient for the City. Lovely gardens. We would recommend it and happily stay there again.

good valueI stayed on business and just needed somewhere overnight prior to a meeting nearby. Not 5* but for the price not at all bad either. The bathroom needed updating and the bedside radio like something from the 70's but otherwise room ok and plenty of space in the superior one.Breakfast basic but included although not worth £11.75 if brought alone (our milk jug had solidified milk!)As a budget hotel with breakfast inc a good deal and nice pub almost next door for evening meal so would stay again.

2 twin rooms 29-06-09Rooms were fine - clean and tidy - quite quiet. Shower could have been better - did not get you wet when attached to the rail so had to hold it. Also staff could have been more friendly when we had breakfast - they did not check there was enough food left for our party then when we asked for more said it was too late - one person had no cooked breakfast as none left so they had to make do with other things ie cereals.

I was told upon arrival that I had been upgraded to a premier room, it was just 2 single beds pushed together to make it look like a larger bed.

Quality Inn Birmingham 19/06/09Room excellent value for the money. Buffet breakfast was good quality although a little expensive unless you pre pay at check in. Service from all staff that we met was very good. Would stay here again.
