Excellent food good service, a really great location for visiting attractions in the area. Good motorway access and easy to find. The only down side it's a little tired and the decor needs updating otherwise no complaints. Would definately use this hotel again.

The Hotel was fine just a bit to far out of the City for us, although only 1.5 miles, the Guy who was doing the bar that night was very helpful and friendly and also very polite. The breakfast was good and again the staff were helpful and polite.

Hotel is well placed for Centre of Birmingham. Nicely decorated and room fine, but the food left a lot to be desired, it was bland, not well presented and generally not great value for money considering the food options available within walking distance.

A few things that I found bad one was the furniture in the rooms. The chairs are old and have collapsed in the middle so that you sit in a hole in the chair. Some of the carpets in the passage ways are old and frayed. The food was of a reasonable standard but there was no fruit yoghurt, only plain to have for breakfast. The fried eggs sat in a pool of oil on the plate you served from.

Photos & description were a little misleading - refurbishment applies to reception and bar only. I also booked on advice that NEC was 25 mins away - it would have been with no traffic but it took me nearly 1.5 hours due to heavy traffic! Restaurant food was not good, bar food was ok. Rediculous system that bar does not accept card payment so had to go to reception to pay, causing delays to me, other guests and poor lady who was only one managing bar, food orders, clearing etc. She was very nice and very hard working. Manager was also very helpful, other staff were not particularly friendly or helpful.

This hotel is very good value for money. The rooms are a good size and very clean. Breakfast is first class and is buffet style. Only draw back of the hotel is that it is on split levels and has a lot of stairs. Other than that I would recommend it

On arrival I was told I was the VIP of the day and automatically upgraded to an executive room and given a bottle of wine. This is excellent marketing and customer service. The room was large, bright and airy , very modern and clean, though because there are smoking rooms around, there was a vague smell of smoke in the room but it wasnt bad. Only had breakfast in the hotel which was buffet continental style. The food was fresh and dishes always being replenished. Have booked to stay again, ideal for business use.

I had booked and paid for two nights, but when I arrived the booking was only for one night. Because I had all my paperwork with me this was very soon sorted out (the hotel took photo copies of all my paperwork) If I had not taken all this information with me it might have been a different story. I had stayed at the same Hotel before it changed hands I do not feel that there has been any improvement which is a great pity. The staff were pleasent enough but I think it lacked something.

The decor in the room was a bit dated, however this would not deter me from staying there again. This hotel is good value for money

Myself and my partner arrived at the hotel at about 1am and was greeted wwith s friendly member of staff, however it took about 15minutes for him to check me into the room. When asked if \I could get something to eat I was handed a takeaway menu for a local(expensive) takeaway. So we found an alternative elsewere.I asked for a double and got a twin room with a large gap between the beds, this room was then changed to another room which this time was a family room. the bathroom was a state and all the oillows were dirty as well as there were hairs in the bed. By this time I was now getting very annoyed with the room changes until we were given another room which was the best out of the three but this room like the rest were cold and had no towels or spare pillows. And if that wasnt bad enough someone from room service came in sometime before 9am!When checking out in the morning the receptionist has no clue as to what he should do as i wanted to make a complaint and toldme to just leave my number and the manager will contact me before the end of the week! However I did manage to see the manager after having to wait 15minutes in reception. All round it wasnt the best and I wont be visiting in the future. Also is said that it had recently been refurbished- somehow I dont think so and if it was it needs to be looked at again.

The first room we were offered was a smoking room. This was of very very poor quality with mould in the bathroom. Although a smoker myself I could have not stayed in this room as it really did smell badly of cigarette smoke. We were moved to a non smoking room which was a lot nicer and bigger and cleaner. The breakfast was very nice and the food plentyfull. No atmosphere or ambience in the hotel reception or bar area though. Perhaps background music would make it more welcoming.

Hotel was easy to find. Breakfast was very good. During breakfast being served we wet back after eating to purchase two coffees , payment was declined. Staff very helpful. Tea/coffee making facilities a definite plus. No air conditioning, suggest fans in rooms.
