Don't bother with breakfast at Garfunkel's restaurant! Breakfast is not included but there is this restaurant in the hotel that is recommended by the receptionist for breakfast. We ordered two breakfasts totalling approx. £16 for the two...these arrived very promptly in fact within 2.5 minutes we were presented with two plates of overly warmed up sausage bacon etc! The eggs were hard and had been kept warm along with the rest of the food and both plates looked inedible. We sent both back without touching them and when we told them that perhaps they should have at least cooked something on the plates fresh they said that both meals were cooked fresh! Remarkable we said two meals in 2.5 minutes and both inedible! Even the toast was underdone..a bit like eating stale bread! Total rubbish don't waste your money.

To be fair this property was clean and newly renovated and the location was very convenient. The rooms were extremely small. One can hardly walk without hitting something. In short, the rooms were basically glorified closets. You can find much better deals in the general area. If you have to stay in this hotel, take your smallest luggage since there is not much room to spare.

Convenient location but somewhat difficult to find. Facilities adequate and very clean, but no fridge!

We go to London once a year, and this hotel was the worst ever, the room was so small, the shower imposible to get inside, I'm 5'4 and 120 and I could not even get inside. On the web states "free breakfast", well not such a thing. Staff never smile "not even once". Room xxx is below the gym, so the noise was the worst with the equipment. The doors are paper thin so any body can hear anybody business. Never again, I would prefer to stay home before we go back to that hotel.

A bit disappointed for a birthday tripThe hotel was very close to the Tube and takeaways. Very clean, very polite staff. The restaurant I was disappointed with. I only ate there once but I complained as the food was either very underdone or burnt! The food room service brought up was tepid. Room size wasnt very generous especially when one of the guests is 6"4". The air conditioning was needy as it was hot weather. But I think it needs an overhaul as it went from quiet to very load every 30 mins which is a pain when you are trying to sleep. The biggest disappointment was on the Laterooms site it said I booked a larger room with a king size bed (to accommodate my tall partner). The bed was a standard double bed which was caused problems.Overall I didnt enjoy the experience of staying at the hotel and will not be using it again unless the accommodation is as described

Pros: Our room was exceptionally clean and had a fun, modern feel to it. The room was equipped with an Ipod dock, which was convenient for charging up. The staff allowed us to check in about an hour early. The location is extremely convenient- within yards of Paddington Station, with access to the tube and Heathrow Express, and just a short walk to a Golden Tours pickup location (convenient for day tours to Stonehenge, Windsor, Bath, etc.). Free WIFI (just ask for the code at the front desk). Cons: A housekeeper unlocked our door (bolt lock and all) on the first night of our stay, without knocking, after we had gone to bed, to ask if we needed anything. We paid the higher rate for a king bed, but we were given an extremely tiny room with only a double bed. The staff was not exactly rude, but they were certainly not friendly either. Our room was equipped with only ultra-firm pillows. When asked to store luggage, the hotel staff simply piled it near the elevator door, rendering it very susceptible to theft or damage. Unlike most hotels in the US, they required my full name to fill out an online customer satisfaction survey.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to Paddington, but the room we had was so small it was impossible for 2 people to stay there in any comfort. Unbelievably small for so much money, maybe that's just London Hotel rooms for you.

This hotel, while small in room size, was very clean and up-to-date. The staff was accomodating to our needs (ice!). It is in an excellent location for catching several Tube lines and we barely heard train noises. Would probably stay again.

Not a quiet hotelOverall the hotel was adequate with everything one requires for a nights stay. The staff were helpful.Unfortunately because of it's location this hotel is noisy, but convenient.

This hotel is perfectly located literally steps from the Paddington Station. The desk staff is extremely pleasant, the rooms are large and clean and new, and the restaurant is nice. The price, location and amenities are amazing. We had a big flat screen tv and an iPod dock in our room. Beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet regardless of being so close to the station (which is where the Heathrow Express arrives/departs and where National Rail arrives/departs for trips around England. Very handy.) Close to restaurants and take away fast food, as well as the underground. I am so pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. I will stay here next time I am in London.

The hotel location is excellent. I have stayed here once before although in a smaller room. The standard double rooms are very small but cleanliness and modern fixtures are a cut above some other hotels in the area. On arrival I was upgraded to a king bed room which is excellent by international standards. The hotel is right on Paddington station so convenient to underground and Heathrow Express. The hotel has no restaurant although there is room service and a small bar downstairs. Staff seem friendly and helped me with my luggage. Would stay here again if the price is right.

We stayed 2 nignt, the place is new fresh clean and very well situated. We left the hotel and took the express to Heathrow in a 2 minute walk. The rooms are small but this is London folks. I travel to London 2 to 3 times a year and this is for the money the best I have stayed in.

Location, location, location. Small rooms- as expected. Similar size as other rooms we've stayed in London. Friendly staff, cleanest rooms I've stayed in Europe.

I stayed at this hotel last year for two weeks and the staff couldn't have been more gracious, most notably, X the night desk man. I suggest that if he still works there to let him fix you a cocktail when you come in late after a long evening.
