Beautiful landscaping, low-key but very efficient and friendly. The bathroom was small because of kitchenette, which we didn't really use. The landscaping and architecture of the hotel, pool and grounds was beautiful and tasteful, the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was not too loud and was family friendly. It exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to others. There was only 1 restaurant, which was good, but the kitchen facilities and reasonable prices at the 2 delis gave one a chance to eat en suite. The privacy of the beach meant that we were not harassed by the usual beach vendors that are everywhere else in Mexico. We travel to Mexico every year and will most likely return to this hotel as a small or extended family.

The Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay is very beautiful on the outside and the rooms. Once we got settled we had two problems with the room. We had a master suite that is rated for 6 persons. The bedroom two beds were great, although the were supposed to be queens but were called matrimonial size (smaller that a queen, bigger than a full). The sleeper bed in the living room was extremely uncomfortable and small. It had a big ridge right across the middle. The kitchen was very small. I had to put away all of the extra appliances it order to have any counter space. Definitely only one person at a time. Our second day at the pool, we were told that coolers were not allowed. On the positive: The pool was big and very beautiful. All of the food that we had at the various restaurants was excellent.

This visit to mazatlan was outstading. Our entire experience was outstanding. Be mindful that if you arrive early, you might have to wait a while for your room, which we had to. They actually took us to our room only to find it dirty. So we had to wait an hour before we could get our room, but that didnt ruin our experience with Pueblo Bonito. Yes, it is kind of secluded, but they have a free shuttle that takes you to the city every half hour on the hour. Also be sure to know what the beach flag warnings are. One Word, Jellyfish! I would recommend this resort and city to everyone I know.

Everything about this hotel is spectacular! A little bit out of the way for other Mazatlan activities. I can not say enough good things about this place. They have thought of every detail and the staff is so gracious and courteous that every guest feels like royalty. I even recommend seeing their timeshare presentation as they gave us so much free stuff, our two day stay with food totaled $15.

the resort was absolutely beautiful. Our room ws a junior suite, very nice and very clean.Everyone on staff there was very nice , polite and helpful. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. Would definitely do this resort again.

Fun pool activities, quiet beach yet with plenty of opportunites to enjoy kayaks, banana boats, and jet skiing...beautiful sunsets & great pool-side nachos con jalape?os...city life & resturants are a perfect 15 minute free shuttle ride away (with a free round trip shuttle every half hour from the hotel lobby to their sister resort in downtown Mazatlan, you cant ask for more) Suites have a peaceful blue decor, kitchenette has a nice-size fridge & stove top...muy bonita, the perfect place for friends or families to go

One of the finest Hotels I have ever stayed...the grounds were just beautiful and kept just like Disney...the staff always helpful and nice will go out of their way to please you...the rooms very clean and kept well..beds chanced every day and comfortable...view excellent...if I ever return to mazatlan will definitely stay at this hotel....highly recommended...cant go wrong....

We had a wonderful trip to the beautiful town of Mazatlan. It couldn't have been more perfect. The staff was wonderful, the view was spectacular and the pools were incredible. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and patient with our lack of Spanish. We loved being waited on poolside. The grounds were beautiful. We were there during the slow season, so it was like having the whole place to ourselves most of the time. We had a terrific time. The timeshare sales staff we had been warned about were very nice and helped us with excursions even though we didn't buy and weren't ineterested. Our favorite excursion was the Zip line adventure. It was great! Everyone should try it. It was very safe. The bus to downtown was prompt and very helpful when it came to visiting the many wonderful restaurants in the "Gold Zone" or downtown. We loved "Pancho's" on the beach. The hotel restaurant was good, however ,the romantic singer, while a perfectly good singer, was too loud and not our favorite part of the trip. The food was very good. We did not use the fitness facility due to a $10.00 charge per use for hotel guests.

The hotel is beautiful. When you pull up to the front, fountains and flowers everywhere. High expectations at that point! As soon as you walk in the door, you're accosted by one of two women ready to give you 200 to attend the "get acquainted with the hotel" tour the next morning. Obviously a ploy for a time sharing speal. If you don't go, they'll totally shun you from then on. Check in was fine. Room wasn't ready, but we hadn't eaten so we had dinner while we waited. Only one restaurant on this property. It's pricey but the food is good. We ate breakfast every morning there, and it's very good. Sunday was VERY good.. a buffet every day, and saves you having to go to town.The room was very nicely laid out. Beds are decent, not wonderful. Got two queens instead of a king. If you have a choice, take the second or third floor. We were behind the pool, which would have been bad if the weather had been warm enough for people to be swimming late.The first night was fine, but after that we had neighbors that were AWFUL. The first night they had some sort of party there, with kids screaming and furniture dragging all over the room. We finally had to call the front desk. The next night it was nearly the same. You could practically hear every word they were saying the walls were so thin. The upstairs guests were the same. After the first night, the cleaning staff never replaced any of the items we used.. like shampoo and bubble bath. Didn't even replace the soaps. And we tipped every day!Overall, a disappointment. There are a lot of nicer places in town.

I have been to mazatlan before but always stayed with family. This time it was different we stayed at Pueblo Bonito.. everything about it was great!!!! I loved it.. the only complaint I have would be that it is soo far from the Malecon. Its not hard to get there but I am use to being a walk away from where everything is... besides that I loved this place and will stay there again!!

Located near wedding we attended, great kids pool. Took too long to check in, didn't have king bed until following day. The Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay is a great hotel if all you want to do is lounge by the pool. There are activities scheduled daily but beyond that there is not much to do out in Emerald Bay. The food is average and the prices are definitely resort prices. The beach is difficult to walk on (it is shaped like a huge bowl). As with any resort in Mexico, you will be recruited for time-share presentations. Very family friendly (they don't charge for high-chairs or cribs), they have a great kids pool, and all units have good kitchenettes. What they don't tell you. You can't take the free shuttle back to the hotel with groceries. So it is costly to go to town and stock up. You must arrange round trip transport at least 72 hours in advance. Otherwise you will pay $72 for cab fare.

Excellent resort and service. Very good food. A little far from town. Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay is an excellent resort in Nuevo Mazatlan. Service is outstanding as is the food. It is a little out of the way as the resorts have out built the restaurants, shops, etc. There is a free, convenient shuttle to the sister hotel in the Golden Zone. Taxis will cost $20 to old Mazatlan or $10 from the sister resort. The resort is a little heavy on selling you a Timeshare, but if you can say no, you can easily earn $200 of food, spa, tours, etc for 2 hrs of your time. Overall, very pleased.
