We went there for a weekend stay, the hall is really warm. The room was extremely hot, the window lead to the interior area which doesn't help cool down the room. I tried to sleep in as I was exhausted from the long road trip. After struggling with the sleep, I came to front desk and let the personnel know about the heat in the room. He checked on the computer and said Do you want to upgrade? I said no. He said this is the cheap hotel and you deserve it. Use the fan. I emailed to the manager about the situation and she apologized about the incident however she only offer the discount for the future stay which I felt it doesn't really solve what I experienced the stay at the Inn. I feel the hotel is taking advantage of me by booking the special deal room for the weekend and make the devil advocate by upgrading for the expensive room with cool air. Additional info - hot tub is lukewarm. I went to other Banff hotel which is much nicer for the lower cost. Overall I am not impressed with their service and WILL NEVER go back to that Inn, ever again!

First off, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location...just a pleasant walk from downtown Banff. Lots of nearby restaurants and a Safeway is just a block away. The hotel is attractive from the outside, but oddly built in the interior. Narrow hallways and rooms that are satisfactory in size...although I think a bit overpriced. Still, I liked it and would stay here again depending on the availability of other choices. Wireless internet dependable.

Location only! Everything. Room was extremely hot, had to sleep with window open. Looked pretty from outside. Once inside the room was unusually hot and the heat remained on. You cannot switch it off. We had to sleep with the window open sacrificing being safe since we were facing an open parking. I cannot compare this hotel to any other hotel I have been in the U.S. Hotel was very old and not updated at all. Very disappointing.

Good location. No window in the room. Not a 3 star hotel.

Location. No windows, 19 in TV with green picture, very dark bedroom, bathroom. NA.

Very attractive exterior. No outdoor window, cabinet broken, door lock broken, lumpy mattresses. unbelievable lack of countertop space in bathroom area. Had to keep my toiletries on the floor! Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant because the prices were too high. We found other facilities nearby much more accommodating.

I liked the location of this hotel, it was close to main attractions and good restaurants. I did not like the aesthetics of this hotel. This hotel was definitely not a 3 star hotel, it could use a renovation for sure, it was also very noisy and extremely cold, the in room heater did not work. We tried the restaurant for breakfast one morning and were told that we were only allowed to have the buffet, that they were not serving from the menu, the buffet was small and the food was obviously kept out for quite a while.

Proximity to downtown is excellent. No swimming pool. We were able to park our car and walk for the entire weekend.

Location. Dirty, smelly, loud. This hotel had dirty hallways, our room was smelly, bad parking, we were nearly in an accident due to messy entrance.

Absolutely nothing. Too expensive.

The sushi restaurant was pretty good. The waitress was alarmed at my order though, she said "That's raw you know." Lots of partying and noise. Not the cleanest, and very dated. We were given one hotel to go to, and then sent to another that was part of the family of hotels. I think we actually stayed at the Banff Inn. It was late; we were tired from hiking all day, so we just took the room and made the best of it. It really isn't very nice. But the sushi restaurant was good.

Good location. Too expensive for a motel 6 quality room. Not worth the price, small room. No air conditioning or temperature control. No windows in room. Very confusing layout, seemed like endless maze of halls.

Staff friendliness and location was awesome! The beds were uncomfortable, and the doors looked like they either needed repaired or were repaired badly. Excellent location. Restaurant was good, service in restaurant and front desk were both excellent.

Cleanness, convenient location, comfortable beds. Terrible faucet noise from other room(s). Generally it's a nice hotel with convenient location, clean room, comfortable beds. However we were woken up by a terrible noise from other room or rooms twice in the evening. It looks like the sound proofing needs to be implemented. We were also disappointed that they didn't provide tooth brush and paste.

Clean, quite. Surprisingly told the room price doesn't include breakfast. Hope to include breakfast with the reservations.

Location. Room situation and cleanliness. Hotel was conveniently located, but the atmosphere was very noisy with the rooms situated to overlook the lobby. The breakfast was mediocre, but in all fairness we were the last to the buffet before it closed. Dirty dishes were in the hall from check in to check out. It was overall mediocre.

Free parking and wireless internet. Room was small, and restaurant was not the greatest. The room was clean and comfortable, although small. Parking and internet were free and were available throughout. Easy to find, good location in Banff. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was not too good: powdered eggs, undercooked bacon.

Nothing other than location. Dirty, loud, impossible to sleep, poor facilities. Washroom has mold and mildew. Rooms have paper thin walls. Staff are not helpful - I checked out early rather than spend one more night in this terrible hotel.

Best linens and mattress pillow and duvet comforter were outstanding. Hotel is attractive outside but lobby needs similar decor. I would recommend this attractive mountainside lodge/hotel because it is well located in downtown Banff. The room was not large but was clean and adequate. The best part was the very comfortable bed linens, assorted pillows, mattress pillow top, and duvet comforter. Staff was friendly and so was customer service.

The location was great! Under ground parking lot was small and narrow. Rooms were clean. Staff helpful. Great location. Nice decor. Internet access.
