Place was wonderful... best in Torino View .. Room, Location. Constructive criticism.... In the main dining room ...first night.. lovely meal.,. then I asked for a bottle of ASTI SPUMANTE.... the young maitre d brougt us a bottle of white wine that said asti.... but not SPUMANTE. He said that was the only asti.Not spumante??? in Torino at the Principe?Spumante in italian as they well know means "foamy" or Spumante!He said to us..Oh you mean Martini Rossi1 It should not matter spumante is spumante?? THEN when we said ok. The bottle was presented to us ...OPENED!!! in the main dining room at the best hotel in Torino the fabulous Principi Di Pemonte!!!! Waiters remark "velo giuro lo aperta dui minuti fa al bar" Need we say more? He said to us on leaving " come tomorrow i will make it up to you" We did not go back there next day for supper. But will next time again stay at the Principe... and i am sure they will have spumante in many varieties....Mabe "La Bagna Cauda???? Greetings!!!

Excellent quality hotel, quiet well equipped rooms in a good central location

Hotel has five stars but n reality it is a four star hotel. It has been redone but is not luxurious. Things tend not to work properly--like one TV will turn on the other. Heat was suffocating one night. Staff friendly but not really on the ball. Entrance disappointing as was bar and restaurant decor. Don't know about evening meal as we did not dine here. Breakfast was OK-not fabulous. The location was terrific and for that I would consider it again, provided I got a good deal. It is not worth overpaying for this property.
