I booked this hotel due to it getting rave reviews with journeywoman.com and because the rooms looked nice on venere.com I must have gotten the worst room in the hotel. My room was no. 104; Signor Rocco was friendly enough but never complied with my request to make my room cooler by 2 degrees, 2 gradi. I had to ask another member of personnel, which they did, but only by 1 degree, gradi. Rome was going through a heatwave at the time so every little degree (lowered) helps. My bathroom had severe mold and mildew above the tiled area and the shower curtain was filthy. Good news though: the bed was totally comfortable and the sheets fresh and clean! The area, The Veneto, is very nice. It's not close to the center but easy to navigate to Termini (bus no. 910 departs down the street, Via Romagna)and Piazza Barberini from the hotel. The location of the hotel is ideal for walks through Villa Borghese and convenient for Piazza di Spagna. Mauro, a prominent member of personnel was very helpful and kind; much appreciated. If the price was lower and the room nicer then I'd stay here again.

This was very disappointing for us, had a reservation for 2 rooms with aircondition. First we got 1 with and 1 without AC, had to change to another room because of that but this room had a door that you couldn't lock. But the hotel fixed this during the evening. We where aware of that the hotel did do a renewing and had a look in that floor they had done already and it looks very nice there... what a pity we couldn't stay there. But I can't understand how they have earned their 3 stars with the old rooms, really bad! The service at the reception was very good.

Everything was perfect. We`ve been staying in the repaired room on the last floor. And there was place for smoking - on the roof. It was very convinient for everybody - for smokers and non-smokers. Thanks for staying.

The employees were very nice however, the faucet leaked, no shower curtain installed, the shower head leaked, the closet was missing shelves, the room needed to be painted and the complimentary breakfast was basic. I do not ask for much but I do expect the room to be in complete working order. Overall the stay was ok.

First time in Rome and we had great weeks holiday The hotel was not expensive but the rooms are badly in need of renovation. It is central enough [about 15 mins. from metro, trains and 'buses]. We would stay here again but only if the rooms were done up.

For us the Hotel is in a good area, it is quiet, very close to all the places you wish to see and as we have been coming to this Hotel for quite a few years it must have something that we like.

Agood value for the price. We had stayed at a nearby location and paid 100 Euros more for a similar situation except for some cosmetic differences. We found this area convenient for walking to sights, accessing the subway, and to pick up a rental car when we left the city.

This hotel should be the poster child for the concept of no maintenance. The place was an absolute disaster. The breakfast was not edible.

The hotel was excellently situated for travellers without transport. Staff were well informed and helpful re facilities available from the town. We had a complimentary upgrade to a 5th floor room with sea view from the balcony which was most welcomed. The quality of in house food was very good (and value for money cf the outside where choice better but quality and service not so good often!)A few more quality deck chairs by the pool would be a good idea to relieve the daily race for the few decent ones!!! Some with their own head shade would also be useful as the afternoon winds often blew the large umbrellas over making no shade available. The pool area was kept spotless and was a pleasure to relax in.

Staff at the hotel were excellent, location was good and prices were exactly as quoted. However the standard of the rooms was poor, mainly shabby decor, old fittings and well-worn bathroom. The inclusive breakfast was terrible, we ate out after the first day.

I hate to say anything negative because the staff is so friendly. However, the hotel has been grossly neglected in terms of maintenance to all systems. For example, the bath and sink do not drain, the hairdryer bracket is broken, the urine smell in the bathroom is off the chart, the lighting is poor and this is only the bathroom we are talking about. The in-room air conditioners do not work and when they do there is water all over the floor like a mens locker room. As the result of considerable water damage the wood floor is decayed considerably. The breakfast provided was inedible.
