We went to OC for a bachealor party, a rather tame and quiet one. My wife and I stayed in the princess royale just the week before spending 1,000 for the weeknd on the room, and my friends and i have been going down for years in a large group and staying at the princess bayside to the amount of approximately $1,700 for all the rooms. This year will be the last though. upon arrival we checked in 2 of the 3 rooms, around 3pm, we did not check in the last room until about 6:50pm, because all the people had yet to arrive. We went out to dinner, and after the rest of our party met us, we entered the last room at 8:15pm upon entering the room there were 2 holes in the wall, clearly there were there before as there was no dust, or dirt on the floor at all. upon calling the front desk to notify them, security and maintaince arrived, they threatened to call the police, and accused us of the damage, we pointed out that there was no debris around and still they insisted if we did not pay the 300 dollars they would have us arrested and everyone else evicted from the rooms. obviously we were cornered into this scam, this price was later lowered but we had to pay cash as credit is not accepted, although we found this all disturbing we had no choice, as the weekend went on ants overtook room, we were afraid we would be accused of bringing them in from elsewhere so we didnt dare complain as it may cost us more money! after several years of staying in this hotel with a large group, and a yearly long weekend with my wife at the princess royale this incident alone, the way we were treated and called liars, the terrible conditions, burn marks on the hair dryers, most outlets not working, lights broken, bugs etc...... is is clear that this will be my last stay at either of the princess resorts.

The hotel had a fantastic view of the bay and was a very clean and smoke free environment. The staff, including housekeeping, were very kind and courteous. The beds were Temperpedic and hence very comfortable. Our room also included a stove top, sink, toaster, and microwave so that we didn't always have to eat out. The rooftop pool was also great. The pool water was always clean and nowhere near as freezing as the ocean water! It's not the cheapest hotel in Ocean City, but with the friendly service and many amenities it well worth the price!

Room was nice enough and the view is beautiful. However, the service was shoddy, at best. Beds were moderately comfortable - but, the linens were not changed each day, they were merely straightened, and other items were not replenished (ie. coffee, some towels, bath mat). Housekeeping did not shut door one day!! Came back from beach to an open room!!! Too much for that type of service!! Seafood buffet not worth . Finnigan's restaurant is terrific. Difficult to converse with much of the staff - many non-English speaking. Pools are very nice, as well. Smokers in non-smoking rooms.

The only good thing about the hotel is the location b/c it's right next door to the most popular spot, Seacrets. Other than that where do I start. First, while standing in line to check in, we could hear how rude and unfriendly one of the front desk staffers were which was uncalled for. Then, the room total was more when I checked in than was confirmed on my receipt b/c of some random extra tax they forgot to mention. And while discussing this issue, the front desk staff could not have been more rude. The girl walked away from me b/c she didn't want to talk to me anymore. They def need to learn some customer service skills if they are going to have that job. Upon checking in, I learned that the rooftop outdoor pool was being re-tiled and closed... and they "hoped" it would be ready the next day. Keep in mind this is memorial weekend...first major holiday weekend of the summer. What were they doing the previous 8 months? Needless to say, the pool never opened the ENTIRE weekend. And finally, the faucet water was yellow. So enjoy!

After reading other reviews I was concerned about hotel but was plesantly surprised when I checked in. Staff very friendly, beautiful lobby and my room was very large, clean and comfortable with a view of the bay. Furnishings were not shabby. Also had the thickest bath towels for a hotel. Only negative is not very soundproof as I could easily hear people in hall and in room next door but overall a great place to stay and I would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Princess Bayside three years ago. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to stay there again to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We arrived very early to the hotel, hoping that they'd allow us to leave our luggage there, so we did not have to leave it in our car all day. They not only allowed us to bring our luggage in, they allowed us to check in. The hotel staff at the front desk was curtious and knowledgeable. Again, we enjoyed our stay here.

Staying at this hotel was like camping out on your front porch!! Wind and rain came through the walls and A/C unit. Had to leave hotel after one night -- and that wasn't even a full night!!

The Princess Bayside Beach Hotel and Golf Resort was quite a disappointment. The rooms have not been updated in years and they weren't all that clean. The on site resaurant Finnegan's was dingy and also hadn't been updated. They also offerred a terrible breakfast buffet. While we were there, a stabbing took place on the premises which makes me wonder who they allow to stay at the hotel.

Rain and wind storms inside the hotel room 505. A third of the carpet was wet and another third was damp. Had to leave hotel after one night. Wind and rain came through cracks in wallls and through A/C wall unit. Walls were very thin and could hear everyone walking and talking in hallways. Housekeeping personnel could not speak english. The hotel experience was very poor compared to the price of the room.

Hotel is situated near Seacrets in OC Maryland. This provides access to the many bars/clubs. Also to the Bay and the beach. Service has always been very good. Rooms are average.
