The room we were given did not coinside with the pictures on the internet which was one of the main reasons i booked it. However the room we got was justified by a large balcony over looking the surrounding area. The breakfast was basic but fine. The location is absolutley perfect, just a few stops from all the sites in Rome, bought a weekly pass and the rest was simple. All in all a good visit.

Well located and well courteous staffed hotels. I think it is suited for most application, although it is not very near shops or sightseeing.It is a nice and safe residential area.

A little distance from centre of Rome, but good transport links into town. Excellent breakfast, usual smallish Italian rooms, excellent value.

We stayed at The Villa Torlonia in September 2008. The hotel is very clean and set in a nice area near some foreign consulates & embassies. The staff were very friendly and helped us with maps, restaurants recommendations, reservations, and taxi's etc. I thought the room we had (402 in the annexe) was a little small but it didn't affect our stay. The hotel is within five minutes walk from the local metro station (Policlinco I think), two stops to the main Termini station. A taxi across town will cost around €15. They offer a private car to Ciampino for €50 which is slightly more than we paid on the way in, but it's nice to be chauffer driven! I can't say if The Villa Torlonia compares to other Rome hotels, but our experience there was great. The staff make it what it is. If I was to recommend some improvements, they would be to open the bar more often, and install WiFi in the rooms.

The hotel was beautiful and had a very nice breakfast. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was rather small and usually the double bed means two twin size beds pushed together. But, if you had traveled to Italy before, you know this is pretty standard.

Buffet style breakfast selection was the largest of the hotels we stayed in around Italy. Room and bathroom was spacious. Air conditioning unit is a bit loud and has to be turned down to "minimum" in order to sleep. Close to bus lines and 5-7 minutes walk to Policlinico Metro station. This metro is on the B-line (not air conditioned) and require to transfer to A-line at Termini (2 stops away) to see most attractions. Location is in quiet residential neighbourhood. Other than required metro transfer, location is convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful. Elevator is very compact and seemed to struggle as it went up. Thankfully, we never got stuck. Price was very reasonable.

We stayed in Prime Hotel Villa Torlonia for three nights and found it a perfect location, just a five minute walk from Policlinico Metro Station which is two stops from Termini Station (where you can get the tourist buses) Hotel Receptionists were extremely helpful, buffet breakfasts were tasty and hotel itself was very pleasant. At only €350 for a room for two adults and a child, including breakfast, it was exceptionally good value and I would recommend it without hesitation.

we really had a great stay in roma for three day in this hotel, 5mins from metro, very silent and upperclass area as well as very niche hotel stuff, breakfast with juice, coffee or tea and buffet style with ham, cheese, muesli, fruits, ham&eggs, thanks for the perfect stay!

stayed here with my son who is fifteen,claen hotel; in a nice quite location. staff spoke good english, and plenty of good restaurants nearby. the walls in hotel bedroom were dirty, my only fault with hotel, and its a small complaint.

I have to say after reading the reviews i was quite looking forward to staying at this hotel. But i have to say i have never been as disappointed with a hotel as with this one. Firstly the staff at reception when we arrived were extremely rude and didnt make us at all feel welcome, and this continued throughout our 4 nite stay. Secondly we thought we had booked a 4 star double room, only to find our room quiet disappointing, it seemed to be in an annex of the main part of the hotel, the room did not have a double bed, it had 2 singles pushed together and covered with an under sheet, which contributed to 4 uncomfortable nites sleep as they kept sliding apart. There were no, tea making facilities in the room, the bathroom had a built in shower cubicle,which was in fairly disgusting condition. Walls were paper thin, you could hear everyting from the corridor. As for the breakfast, terrible, so much so we skipped it after the second morning.Internet was down the whole duraation of our stay
