The Prima is a dreadful hotel. It was described by another guest as a cross between Colditz and Fawlty Towers (without the humour). 3 stars for this hotel is 4 stars too many! This is a place we will never forget and we have it on video too. None of the staff speaks English and some are rude and unhelpful when they find that you do not speak Turkish. The bar never had change, even for a small note, and ran out of cola and beer almost every day. Bar staff washed glasses by hand as needed, because there is no glass washer. Bottles of water were witnessed being filled from the tap, resulting in illness to customers. Television in the hotel is all in Turkish, except for one Russian channel. The staff are often more interested in what is on television than attending to customers. There is ONE pool at the main hotel and one at the other part down the road, which has not yet been sold off to the Falcon Hotel (an excellent place) next door. There are small fridges supplied begrudgingly on request, but these are in short supply, i.e. there are no mini bars in rooms. No A la Carte restaurant exists. Food is an unappetising and unfamiliar Russian-style buffet, with very peculiar dishes that are re-served at the next meal. The crockery and cutlery are often dirty or still wet. The coffee is poor and the hot water for this comes from a gas-heated urn that is full of limescale. The milk and butter run out and you have to search for a staff member to get more supplies. At mealtimes, the Russian guests rush to start a feeding frenzy, piling their plates high with more food than they can eat. No laundry service. I had to was clothing in the small hand basin or in the shower base. Shower in bathroom spays all over the floor, making it slippery and dangerous, as there is neither a shower curtain nor a bath mat. There were no curtains in room, though I found one in a cupboard and fixed it up to keep the heat out, avoiding the left hand side of the curtain track, which was hanging down. No internet access, unless you bring your own laptop. When I asked about internet access, I was given a telephone number for a dial-up service. Even if I had brought my own laptop, there was nowhere to connect it to in the room. The sea is definitely about 50m away, but then you have to climb another 50m down the cliff to get into it. There is a decking area down the road, though even all-inclusive guests need to pay premium prices for drinks there. We paid 50YTL (about £20) each for an all-inclusive day at the Falcon Hotel next door and had a great time there. PLEASE NOTE: This hotel is NOT typical of hotels anywhere in Turkey. They are usually well-run and comfortable. Don't let this put you off going to Turkey.
