We stay at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel because it was in the center of most of the Lincoln exhibits. We walked to some of them. We took the trolley and the bus for other exhibits. The people at the hotel were very friendly, answering all of our questions and helping us to get where we wanted to go. The parking was extra but it was right next to the hotel. We actually parked our car when we got there and got back in when we left. The restraurant specials were wonderful. They had a different special each night and the service was excellent. We did not use the exercise room but did use the hot tub and pool every night we were there. In all we had a great experience at the hotel and saw all of the Lincoln exhibits.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while our son competed in Skills USA. We chose this hotel for the great price and when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. We had one of the newly remodeled rooms and it was nice. We were close to the convention center and within walking distance of all the historical sites. The check-in process was very speedy even though the hotel was completely booked. Something I could not get information on was parking. We were told at check-in that it would be $7 a day or $.75 an hour to park. Although not expensive, it was unexpected. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a first class hotel that is just a little dated (late 1980s to mid 1990s. The accomodations,(beds, bathroom, and furnature) are comparatable to that of a luxuary hotel, just not new. The hotel is perfect for tourist; great price and within walking distance of almost all the Lincoln attactions Pros: great location, clean room, courteous staff, great amenities (fitness & indoor pool) Cons: none really, but expect families with kids and expect the kids to be a bit rambuntious

The desk person was very nice. Bathroom was too small.

nice hotel. nothing flashy, but very convenient (walking distance) to several Lincoln History sites. Breakfast buffet about 11 bucks , less for kids. pool area adequate, in basement.

Location; lovely lobby (impressive), friendly staff. Great Priceline price. Good location. Felt safe. Very impressive entrance. Would definitely stay there again. I was only passing thru Springfield but liked the location.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The room was spacious and clean and the pool was warm. The only negative is that the carpets appeared a bit worn. We'd definitely come back again!

This was a special trip to visit all things Lincoln. The President Abraham Lincoln Hotel is in the perfect location, and very affordable. The museum, library and many historical locations are within walking distance.

You can't beat the location of this hotel right downtown by everything you would need. Very outdated. Staff was friendly hotel was clean just very outdated besides that it isn't a bad place to stumble in to after a night on the town.

Hotel was worth the price. Lowest in town. Lobby was beautiful. Rooms were pretty warn, but clean. Extremely friendly staff. Let us check in early, gave us adjoining rooms. Very accomodating. Hotel was centrally located, walk to everything. Would definitly stay again.

The building and lobby wsas nice but the rooms are old and in need of updating. Our room looked like my grandmother's nursing home but the kids thought it was fun to stay in an old fashioned hotel. The double beds are small but comfortable. The desk clerks were very rude and sarcastic but when we called for more towels and extra blankets, they were delivered very quickly but a very nice man. The pool was large and clean but no towels were provided.

Location convenient to Lincoln Museum & Library as well as the general downtown. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the hotel dining room. Food and service was very good.

I had seen other reviews here of the poor quality at this hotel, but I must say, it was perfectly nice. Of course, it is certainly not a 5-star hotel, but it's prefectly fine for the price. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and the location can't be beat. The room was small, however I was only staying one night so it didn't make much difference to me. I'm sure they have larger suites for the more discerning guest. You can walk to virtually every attraction. My only complaint is the hotel parking garage, although I'm not sure it's owned by the hotel (it is connected to the hotel). It cost $7 to park, which I believe should be free for hotel guests. The process of paying for your parking was horribly annoying. You have to pay before you get into your car and out of the space at an automated machine. Why they can't simply staff the garage with a person who can exchange monies and open the gate is beyond me. My advice is to park on the street if you are there during the weekend. You don't have to feed meters in Springfield after 5 p.m. on Friday until 8 a.m. Monday morning.

Was very clean and hotel staff was very friendly. Parking. No fridges/microwaves in all rooms [only on one floor and no rooms available on that floor]. Downtown location was convenient to many places we visited and family. Felt very safe in this downtown area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is an ordeal. Have to pay every time you come and go, so we adjusted our plans everyday to avoid overspending on parking. Attended the Mother's Day Buffet and enjoyed it very much. Beautifully decorated room and buffet. Live piano music was a lovely addition. Coffee shop only available 6a-9a, unavailable for late risers like us, so with no microwave we were left with one cup of OJ from the in room coffeemaker. Disappointing.
