Terrific location, outstanding service, personalized attention, and spotless rooms, one can't go wrong at the Prescott. Unlike some newer large corporate environments, the Klimpton staff makes you feel special and at home. A great value offering service exceeding much higher priced locations. We shall return!

Nice friendly hotel, excellent staff. only negative comment would be noisy fellowresidents on one night, but theywere dealt with swiftly by the night staff. I would certainly recommend the Prescott. I wouldcertainly stay there again

I spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at this hotel through a travel website package deal with airfare. The deal was fantastic. While I would like to explore accommodations in other areas of the city, the Union Square area never disappoints. The Prescott is a smaller, i.e. older, hotel two blocks due west of Union Square. It is convenient to everything you need in that area. I used BART to get to and from the airport. The nearest BART station is at the base of Powell St. Very walkable to the hotel, although uphill. My package deal came with a room upgrade which turned out to be significant. I was upgraded to a Club Level room (4th floor and higher). For Club Level room occupants-only the hotel has a daily Happy Hour in the Club Level lounge that includes an open bar and free pizza from the restaurant Postrio. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. The room was smaller than a Hilton or Marriott but that doesn't bother me. The bathroom was large and clean. My room also had a small dining table in its own space. The desk area is pretty tight and might not be great for someone looking to do a lot of work on a laptop. My only gripe is the room's old tube TV stuck in a large cabinet, which is placed at a 90 degree angle to the bed. The TV platform didn't swivel to face the bed (the only confortable place to watch TV) so watching TV was nearly impossible. Also, some squeaky floorboards let me know at all times when my neighbors above me (and their dogs)were coming and going. I would stay there again, but I would probably ensure that I get a Club Level room only.

Great petite hotel with much personl attenton to needs and comfort. Rooms are exsquisite, location is great,in the midst of downtown within walking distance of all notable San Francisco restaurants and shopping districts.

The hotel provided apples and water at the work out facility. The rooms were small and the management was very unfriendly. This hotel is in a nice area (Union Square) in San Francisco. While it is close to lots of sites it is not a four-star hotel. The hotel lobby was nice but the decor was very outdated. The room we were provided was small and cluttered. I couldn't turn around without bumping into the beds and/or my kids. The television was an old, small TV. I couldn't even see the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen - awful. The water pressure in the bathroom shower was extremely low and the water itself was never hot. It was luke - warm to warm. I'm sure there were several more awful aspects that I cannot remember right now. I went downstairs, as the Priceline agent suggested, and I requested a better room. I explained all the awful features of my room and the manager stated, "We can upgrade you for 80 dollars extra per night." I was shocked and appalled and declined the "upgrade". I feel that this hotel was way below my expectations. I'm terribly disappointed.

This hotel is a small boutique hotel - old worldly. Very clean, great service. Our room on club level was nice but as mentioned it is not modern it is old style but nice. Bed extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel was fantastic close to everything. I would recommend this hotel Katarina - Sydney

The Prescott is a wonderful hotel smack dab in the heart of San Francisco. The staff, from front desk to housekeeping, was efficient and friendly. This is not something you often find in a big city hotel. The rooms are perfectly appointed and I was impressed by the rather large en-suite!

The hotel is in a really great location and you can easily walk to the shopping in Union Square, restaurants, the trolley line and to BART. If you don't mind a bit of a longer walk, you can also walk to Chinatown and the Ferry Building. Most of the front desk staff were extremely helpful; in particular, [...] was extremely helpful and friendly when I had some questions about directions and places to see in the area. The room was nice, roomy and comfortable - my only real complaint is that there was a lot of noise in the middle of the night during two of the four nights of my stay. One night there were maintenance workers right outside my window talking and banging for about an hour. (Although, to the hotel's credit, the noise ceased almost immediately after I called the front desk). The other night, there must have been a party, because there was a lot of yelling and partying going on. (This was well after midnight!)Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The staff was very friendly and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms are very small. Mildew in shower area. Hotel's website is misleading as to what rooms look like. No pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the room was extremely small and was not a reflection of what I saw on the hotel's own website. I was disappointed to find out that a 4-star hotel did not have a pool or spa. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:00 am which seems really early. On a positive note, the bed was really comfortable.

Very good hotel. The in-room amenities were excellent. The front desk staff is extremely helpful and professional. We loved the location but there was a good bit of noise on Fri and Sat night from a club across the street from our room (room 605.)

For the same price I've stayed at nicer hotels in San Francisco. The lobby was charming and the location was decent but the rooms were tiny.

it was comfortable,it was close to everything, even though parking was kind of steep,"$45.00a night",i still would stay there again and as far as parking there was a parking garage around the corner for $25.00 over night.

Convenient to Union Square. Clean boutique hotel with club level at an extra charge. Room was quiet and somewhat small with standard TV, however everything was nicely presented and clean.

nice entry and lounge area, but room just an old paintover with new linens on bed. Excellent mattress, though. TV probably 15 years old and small.

My husband and I celebrated our 17th anniversary in my favorite US city. The weather was fantastic for November and of course every meal was a special treat (best of show, El Sotano, a Mexican restaurant near Union Square, where our dinners plus margaritas cost $42!). We stayed at the elegant Prescott Hotel. Our room was teeny and one could hardly turn around in the bathroom, but the bed was very comfortable (love those down pillows) and I was very impressed by how quiet our room was at night. My web research had indicated that the hotel had a spa tub, my main reason for choosing it over some others in the neighborhood, but we learned to our disappointment that the fancy suites had private spa tubs but the rest of us were out of luck. Also, room services was quite limited, and for that reason I question the four-star rating. But the location could not be more perfect!

This is a lovely hotel, in a great location, with wonderful service and a beautifully decorated room (which REALLY matters to me as an interior designer). One complaint - the tv was so tiny that it was difficult to see.

Location andfriendly staff. Very nice and convenient place to stay with terrific staff. Walls were thin and there was street noise.

The hotel was in a great location in Union Square. There is plenty of food, shopping, entertainment and transportation. The hotel has a car service, so that was great too. The room was very average and disappointing. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and was hard to sleep. I had higher expectations of the hotel and I felt let down. The reason I continued my stay there was because I had already payed for the room and the location was awesome.

The Prescott Hotel is very much on par with all other Kimpton Properties. The central location, courteous/attentive staff and general presentation of the property are all top-notch.
