What traveller type is most suited?

We have a range of traveler types use the property, and we're actually pretty all-round when it comes to suitability. We have rooms available for families of up to 4 (maximum of 2 adults & 2 children, or 2A + 2C + 1cot). All rooms come with double beds, and can be set up for single, double or twin occupancy for adults.

We get a lot of business users, over half of them regular visitors, during the week, and families and couples alike have found our site to be a suitable and comfortable place to stay.

Do you provide parking?

We have plenty of free parking available, with 70 spaces available, and about 10 of those are disabled spaces too.

What are your breakfast options?

Breakfast is available daily in our on-site Brewers Fayre restaurant "Dunelm Ridge" from 6:30am - 10:30am (Monday-Friday) and from 8:00am - 10:30am (weekends). Breakfast is an all-you-can-eat buffet with the option of either Continental for £5.25, which excludes the cooked breakfast option, or the "Premier" breakfast which is charged at £7.99 and includes everything available.

What transport is available to get around?

Taxis into town should cost between £7-£10, dependent upon times and company used (please note that taxi companies used are independent companies).

What can I do nearby?

Our on-site bar & restaurant serves food everyday till 10:00pm, and the bar remains open until 11:00pm and 12:00am on Saturdays, and a quiz night every Wednesday. We also have a supervised soft play area available for the children (open everyday from 12:00pm, for only £2 per child for use).

We are very near to Durham City (about 2.5 miles), with a park-and-ride less than a mile away. Aside from its mix of high street stores, independent boutiques and old buildings, Durham City also boasts with beautiful castle and cathedral, both of which are open to the public to enjoy.

Beamish Museum is about a 15 minute drive away, and we do offer 25% discount vouchers for guests staying with us. Adventureland & Diggerland are also nearby, and ideal for keeping the younger children entertained.

Just behind us is the Arnison Retail Centre, which boasts many handy stores to have nearby, as well as a McDonalds, KFC, and "Loaf" cafe.

Lots of bars, clubs and restaurants are available all day, everyday in Durham City, which can be reached within approximately 5-10 minutes in the car; or for those who prefer being on-foot, about a 30-45 minute walk away.

Do you have internet?

We do have Wi-Fi available in all the rooms which can be accessed using internet cards that are available at reception. They are priced at £5 for 60 minutes, or £9 for 24 hours.
