No complaints on the hotel overall. Room was great. The best part was that they providee beach towels and umbrellas. The beach is a good 10-15 minute walk away though. The hotel is not on the Marina and is 5 blocks away. Please make sure you folow up with Orbitz to confirm that you will be given a double bed and not two single beds put together. That was a tough one. Also we had a terrible experiene taking the tour that the hotel staff offered but they were kind enough to refund half our money. Be weary and ask all the right questions before u talk a tour.

The staff. Did not get sleep due to the poor room sound insulation very noisy. I would not stay there again or recommend it. This is a 2 star hotel not 4 star.

This hotel is good location. Just walk 3 blocks, then, you can arrive copacabana beach.many resturant close to the hotel. For the Swimming pool is OK, but no staff to serve you if you want to order something to drink. Breakfast ...is good...many selection of food. Room is not so clean.

The Staffs was very helpful and the hotel was very clean. We had a wonderful time there.

The location is great, within walking distance to everything, shopping beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, and the subway is across the street. No issues. This was my fourth time staying at this hotel within the past 4 years. Personally I haven't had any issues.

My camera was stolen at this hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

i was not happy with the staff they were not very friendly at all, also the restuarant food was not good at all in fact i got sick 1 night after dining there, also the maids did not clean the room well at all, we had 1 good maid but they transferred her to another floor and the next maid i had to call the desk back 3 times , she cleaned nothing, just put towles in room..and the hotel also over charged for the mini bar in the room, 15 reais for a bottle of water????thats like 10 dollars, way too much......

Rooms are small but clean, Extra charge for safe, amnesties are ok and free Wi-Fi. Unfriendly staff don't smile and the manager is the worst. This hotel overall is good and the location is nice, short walking distance to Metro and Beach. But the staffs are uncommitted and the manager doesn't even smile or notch the head. I found a cheaper alternative hotel but was persuaded to extend my stay with this hotel by him. Don't allow visitors to come to the room for short time if it is double occupancy and two people are staying. Staffs are needed to be trained to smile, speak English, willing to offer help, informative about tourist information .

If you have never traveled to Brazil or speak a word of Portuguese then you are in luck by staying at this hotel. Not only does the staff speak English but they are very informative about the local attractions. We had researched online what we wanted to see but to do it on your own is difficult. Lucky for us that there is an employee by the name of xxxx who works at this hotel. xxxx made a list of all of the activities we wanted to do and helped arrange all of the tours for us. xxxx was able to help us book the perfect tours for the best price. He is very knowledgeable about the area and knows where the best restaurants are, coffee shops, bars and the best time to visit places. He really made sure that we were having a great time there. He did whatever he could to make our stay feel just like home. Without him we would have been lost. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast that usually includes crossaints, toast, fruit, cereal, and juice which is included in the price. The coffee is not including in the price and is about R* a day. The rooms are kept clean, but they did forget often to give us new towels. Make sure that you don't use the mini bar there because right around the corner is a local grocery store that sells everything then less then half the price. The view from the roof at night is beautiful Overall I would definitely recommend this to someone who is planning to do all of the local turisty things and is looking for a good hotel for a decent price.

The Premier Copacabana exceeded my expectations. The hotel staff were amazing, they went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included in the price and the hotel chef was incredible. I had two dinners in the restaurant and I should have had more. The hotel is centrally located, only a short walk from the beach and directly across the street from the metro. Don't use the phone, however, there is a .50 charge per minute to call locally. This was not explained to me well, as I thought it was .50 for each local call.

Overall I am pleased with the two day stay at the Premier Hotel. The location is excellent. It is only a 10 minute walk from the world reknown Copacabana beach. A subway station is across the street. The room is comfortable and clean. The breakfast that comes with the room is delicious with excellent coffee. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and will come back if I visit Rio again. One thing that the future travelers need to be careful, that is you have to watch the price of the merchandises or services sold to you by the desk staff. They inflate these prices markedly. I found that I paid too much for a Samba Dance show that I bought from them. The next day I ask them the place where I can buy a DVD of the recent Carnaval, they pull immediately a DVD on the shelf and quote a price of 60.00 USD. I refuse, say it too expensive. They drop the price to 40.00 USD right away.

Nice lobby. Rooms are comfortable with nice new bathrooms. Be careful with your mini bar bill, they charged us for things that we didn't consume. The hotel is nice but not to close to the beach.

The Premier Copacabana Hotel was a very good experiance for us. We arrived at around 2am and I was worried about check in, but no problem there was someone waiting for us. I think that any place that you stay you could find something wrong with it if you try. If I had to find something wrong it would be that the shower was a little hard to adjust the temp. For the money the hotel was very close to everything and I felt very safe in the neighborhood. The staff although not overly friendy were very helpful and spoke English. They were able to exchange currancy for me, tell me how to get around by bus and subway which is accross the street, and even set up some tours for me. The breakfast was very good and saved me a load of money. The pool was very clean and what a beautiful view and the people were very nice to get you what you needed. The hotel was a short walk to the beach with lots to see on the way. To sum it up, you can find much nicer hotels that are on the beach with everything you want in a hotel but you will also pay for it at more than double the price. Next time I think I might stay in Ipanema but if ever I stay in Copacabana I would stay at this hotel again. No problem!

Sandro and the other reception staff went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of despite our limited Portuguese. They even set up our rental car which was delivered to the hotel and helped translate for the rental car person who did not speak English. All of the staff we encountered (reception, house-keeping, doormen) were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and impressive (granite floors, tropical flowers everywhere). Some of the rooms even have a view of Corcovado (the Jesus statue). The roof-top pool (and sauna) has an amazing view of Copacabana and should not be missed. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of tropical fruits, breads, and meats. The minibar in the room made it convenient to store food purchased from the local market for snacks/lunch. For any new visitors to Rio, this is the ideal place to be, especially if you speak limited Portuguese. We would definitely plan to stay at this hotel again in the future.

This hotel is directly across the street from the very clean and efficient Metro with good connections to the surface bus routes. Copacabana beach is about 5 blocks away with lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. The Hotel rate includes an excellent full breakfast of cereals, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, pastries cheeses and cold meat and the restaurants dinner menus is very good and fairly priced. The view from the roof pool and patio is very special including Christos off in the distance.

If you are looking for an inexpensive (relatively) hotel then this is your place. The hotel itself is 3 long blocks from the beach - staff is indifferent - neither overly helpful or rude - but does the minimum to help guests. The hotel rooms are dark and dingy. You must insert the key to activate the power in most of the space. That means when you are not there - the air conditioning is not on...so you must endure the heat till the room cools off. Bed is very hard - pillows are flat and hard. Shower space is nice - very large - but very dark.
