The staff where friendly, food was of a good standard and the room was very clean and had everything you need. Only downside was that our room (front of building) was right opposite a taxi rank and we had two very poor night's sleep. would recommend asking for a back room at this hotel.

A real disappointmentNot a good experience,Staff very pleasant, but hotel not impressive.Room rather shabby, paintwork scuffed, chair worn,T V unable to receive the advertised channels.Shower not user friendly-would be dangerous to elderly or children.Candlllit restaurant closed due to lack of people on a Sunday night.Ate in the Bar but still at restaurant prices.Meal uninspiring for the price.Manager helpful . Hotel is in a prime position and could be so much better.

The hotel overall was acceptable, however we did have an issue with the shower, as in it wasn't a proper shower (tap connector). Which meant you either scalded yourself, or had a cool shower. This should be looked at!!!

Great location, but I am sure there are hotels with more value for money nearby. Water in taps far too hot, would be dangerous for an old person or young child

Georgian/Regency/Chintz all rolled into one and very cozy!We loved our stay even though the decor was very 'tired'. We had a suite which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was absolutley 'spot on' for all City Centre attractions, walking distance to everything. We parked our car on the Saturday morning and didn't go near it again until the Monday morning.Could not have asked for anything more.Thank-you.

March 2009I thought that Pratt's Hotel was pretty good. It's situated in a very convenient position, close to both the railway station and the town centre. The room was nice, but I have to say that the overflow leaking continually into the bath was rather offputting. The breakfast was generally excellent with a great choice of cold food, including lots of fruit. The cooked breakfast was disappointing. The staff were very friendly and overall it was a very good experience. I would go there again.

I don't usually make the effort to write reviews or fill in questionnaires, but this hotel is so good and central, with exceptional cuisine, you need to know about it. Don't limit yourselves to the breakfasts. We had one dinner and Sunday lunch. Both were wonderful. There are 3 genteel sitting spaces downstairs and plenty of room in the bedroom. The older one of us found outside a bit noisy at night, but I really didn't.

Pratts Hotel was the ideal hotel for me - a short walk from the station and near the town centre, my room was clean and spacious, the staff polite and friendly. Breakfast was lovely too. I did see a couple of grumpy reviews about the hotel (among the mainly good feedback) - have to say I can't see what they're on about. If I'm in Bath again, I know where I'd stay.

Very tired and shabby hotel, bathroom and room standards are way below that of many B&B's I have stayed in. Cooked breakfast was cold. Dan the Deputy Manager was helpful. Had to change room as bathroom was disgusting. Not a pleasant stay at all.

The hotel wouldn't allow us early entry into our room (early check for a wedding requested at 1pm) so couldn't turn up to get changed before the ceremony and hence we didn't check in until after midnight.Facilities were pretty run down, double bed was tiny - certainly nowhere near worth £135 a night. The location was very central but all in all, it wasn't a great experience. The staff were pleasant but the hotel is in deseperate need of some attention. Creaky floorboards, jaded decor and very pokey rooms (I had to duck on one side of the bed to avoid the ceiling). The bathroom has one of those annoying shower connectors from the taps that is fixed on the wall and sprays you around the belly button.

we think some of thereviews are unfair. the food was hot and very good our room was quiet and the water was always hot. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is right in the middle of bath close to all the sites. The room did smell a little musty but the whole place was charming. Thank you Pratts hotel we will be back

Bath is a daunting place to drive around. We parked somewhere first and then located the hotel on foot. After that we found it easily and parked opposite in a pay and display car park £12 for 24 hours through the hotel. The hotel is quaint with an old fashioned feel. The room was clean, and well presented. The bathroom was spotless but unfortunately the light over the basin didn't work and turned out to be more complicated than a faulty light bulb the maintenance man was very helpful. In fact all the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was extremely good. The proximity of this hotel is great, just a couple of minutes walk and you are in the centre. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to friends.

The room was of a good size and comfortable. The room was not cleaned properly, esp the mirrors on which we wrote in the dust. It is very expensive to park as the hotel does not have it's own car park and you have to use the pay and display opposite. The hotel was ideally located right in the centre of town.
