It was fine but a little noisy at night and outside was a view of a brick wall which was a little bit uninspiring.

This is a great place to stay for value. It's a nice hotel and located a five minute walk from one of Madrid's metro stops. It also has an internet cafe and little shops and cafes right in the neighborhood. My room had a balcony which nice for fresh air and it was not expensive at all for the three nights I stayed. Really a good deal. If you don't want to walk up the street to eat the hotel has a restaurant. I only had breakfast there but there were many options. The staff is friendly and will help with directions etc... I would definitely recommend it.

Nice place, located on a good, busy street. Decent shops and restaurants very close by. Not in the city centre though. But its accessible by the metro or buses. Staff's ok, matter of fact, not particularly warm. Internet connection is a bit dodgy in some areas of hotel. Very comfortable though. Definitely worth regular staying.

The Hotel Santos was pretty nice and well appointed. Not terribly convenient to any sites, but within a few blocks of the Metro. Many bar/cafes in the area, but none notable. Rooms were a good size, with surprisingly large towels. Shower tends to spray on the floor. There was always at least one person at the desk who spoke English.

I was impressed by the hotel- even though I did read some reviews that said otherwise before I went, i would say some people were not being fair to them. The members of staff were really of good help , the hotel was clean, what more can one ask for.

The first impression was awfull. Rude and unhelpfull staff. If we knew Madrid better we would leave the hotel and booked a room another place. Besides of that it was a ok hotel to stay at. About 10 min. walk from the metro station. 15-20 min. with the metro to downtown Madrid.

although not in the center, the connections are very good ( bus & subway). I was told that the rooms are provided with WI FI. NOT TRUE ! I was in the room 501, but the connections didn't work. When I called them ( before coming) they simply said that it worked. The rooms are clean, to loud for me in the morning.

Staff were a little curt and did not make you feel welcome. 5 people on reception who took time to acknowledge our presence. Location was good, room clean and comfortable. Shame there was NO coffee making facility in room.

Nice clean hotel. Room fairly small, but comfortable. Best thing came as a surprise. Bus #23 stops outside the hotel and ends at Plaza Mayor, the center of town. Most sites are within easy walking distance of Plaza Mayor!

The bus line to the old city is right in front of the hotel. It was very easy to go down to have dinner and get back to the hotel.

NO German TV- station with quality, French, English and Italian TV with high quality. German TV only with advertisments.ARD and ZDF seem to be unknown!! Poor service of reception!! Price of breakfast guaranteed was lower than the demanded price!!

The hotel was OK. I made a mistake with my reservation so I needed to arrive one day earlier, and the rate was by far higher for that extra day, without any consideration despite I was going to stay 3 more nights. If you have phone calls they won't answer them nor will take messages for you.

There is a lot of construction going on next to the hotel at all hours of the night, so it is a little bit noisy. The hotel is on the edge of the city which is nice if you plan a trip to Toledo because you don't have to cross the city to leave, however, you will need to take a bus, metro, or taxi to get to the city center as it is not within walking distance. It took us 2 hours to take the bus and metro to get to the hotel from the airport upon arrival. The nearest metro stop is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The taxi ride to the airport when leaving was 35 euros.
