We do not serve breakfast, but there are approximately six eateries within walking distance of Portman House. The opening hours for breakfast range from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. Prices vary.

There are five hotels and three clubs within walking distance of Portman House. Some of these hotels have entertainment every Friday and Saturday nights. Some every second weekend. They all serve lunch 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm and dinner from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. There are five restaurants in Scone and each of the clubs have a bistro.

A 20 kilometre drive in any direction will take you to historical towns, world famous horse studs and vineyards. Glenbawn Dam is located approximately 10 kilometres away. Great for swimming and fishing. Scone Race Club is located about six kilometres and hold a meeting each month.
