Easy to find and easy access to other cities in UMBRIA. wonderful hotel with a convenient parking lot, nice morning break of the fast and easy access to Assisi's sites our room overlooked a round-about and a little store with a great view of the valley we loved it. most of the staff was very helpful.... bathroom is European, smaller than we spoiled Americans are used to.

Walking distance from main Assisi atractions, good parking area, good breakfast. Nice room with a small but functional and clean bathroom. We used as base to visit Cascia also. At first at the reception the host said there was not a reservation for us, but immediatelly accepted the printed Venere's form.

More specific directions to the hotel would be helpful, such as what stop to get off at from the bus. Map is too general.

A fine hotel for the price in Assisi. A bit noisy early in the morning (unless you keep the shutters closed). We had a BIG problem with the venere map because the hotel was incorrectly located. We went a great distance out of our way and couldn't find the place! The hotel is ACTUALLY just outside the Porta Nuova gate (and if you are coming from the town the hotel, it would be just up the road on the right side of Viale Umberto up a hill). When you have the correct location it is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk without a lot of changes in grade (a straight walk from the bascilica to the hotel). Our second difficulty was getting out of the place at 6 a.m. in order to attend prayers at the basilica. We thought we'd communicated our request to staff clearly but the morning in question the gates to the parking lot were locked and we ending up having to go down the stairs the climb over the locked pedestrian gate. But other than that, it was a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good and varied (even had a lovely fruit cake in addition to various breads).

Very small rooms and very very small bathroom (shower was really small, even for me, and I am very small). Good price though, and good location near main areas of Assisi. Breakfast was served and it was welcoming. Not any hot food items, but plenty of fresh baked goods, cereal, yogurt, cheese and crackers, etc.

Family of 4 stayed for 1 night. Room spacious, clean, parking for auto, hotel reception great. Would stay again if we were to visit a second time. Nice free breakfast, room rate of 140 euros was great for 4 of us. You can walk to major sights from this hotel or catch a bus right in front.

Nice clean 3 star hotel. Small but adequate breakfast selection. Hotel is located just outside Porta Nuova, opposite side of town from Basilicia di St Francis but is within walking distance (even with 2 young children)

Very quiet, quaint, cozy and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a room for 4 - that was adequate size and clean. Located just outside the Pueto Nuova gate to Assisi, the location was perfect for taking the train to Assisi, then the orange line bus to the gate, then walking through town. We would stay here again.

We travelled by car and were so relieved (after some awful experiences with narrow streets and parking probs) to find this hotel includes FREE PARKING! and it's right next to one of the gates into to Assisi. What a bargain! It was a very warm night and we had windows open but the drawback was our room overlooked the main bus stop and corner into Assisi. The traffic is rather noisy. Best to ask for a back room if possible.

This was an above average place and a great price for a tourist town like Assisi. The front desk speaks enough english to help those who can't speak the language. Also they have a private parking lot in front of the hotel so you can keep the car there during the day and walk around the city at your leisure. We had two rooms with five people. We enjoyed this find.
