The Port Douglas Retreat is in the northern part of the resort district. Four Mile Beach is just a short walk away and the Marina Mirage and the Macrossan Street are a quick drive away. Many shops, boutiques, bistros and cafes can be walked to in less than ten minutes. The hotel is an hour ride from the airport. Taxi and car service can be arranged by special request. The Port Douglas Retreat is within walking distance to many other venues in the city.

There are self-contained studio apartments available at the Port Douglas Retreat. Each unit has its own kitchen, featuring private patios or first level balconies with outdoor dining settings. Facilities include a beautiful lagoon-style swimming pool with a rock waterfall and spacious outdoor decking area with barbecues built under a gazebo, surrounded at night by exotic gas flares to create that special ambience.

What are your breakfast options?: All our apartments are self contained. There are many restaurants serving breakfast, just 3-4 minutes’ walk from the property.
What transport is available to get around?: To and from the airport (Cairns International and Domestic Airport) we arrange a shuttle bus (independent company) for our guests. It is about 1.25 hours' bus ride from the airport.

We are just few minutes' walk to the main street (Macrossan Street), 4 minutes' walk to the beach, 4 minutes to the Marina, 5 minutes' walk to the Sunday Markets. So, in Port Douglas we walk everywhere.
