This is our second time back to Point Village. We love the location. We did ask three times to have two burned out lightbulbs to be replaced that were never done. The food is just ok. We were also asked for money from alot of the employees. I know times are hard but it was uncomfortable. If we go back to Jamaica we will try somplace else.

do not go to this place if you can help it it doesn't offer any of the things that are in the descrption portion of the resort if you go be prepared to see the ghetto because that is what i thought of it

The location and views were really good. They had an Adult only Beach, family Beach, and some natural pools which were made into the reef. The events were not communicated well, and even some of the ones communicated changed at the last minute (presumably due to people not signing up). The rooms were spacious. The bathroom was tiny. I completely agree with the star rating. But disagree with some of the negative comments left on Travel online. I took advantage of an adjacent resort for the evening and as a result, I would definately stay here again for the price.

this was our first time to negril. i must admit we were a little thrown by the reviews but after loking again they are pretty much right on. the resort is for people who want peace aqnd quiet not spring break. the foor was excellent but choices were fewer than the bigger all inclusives. rooms were decent but maintance will soon be a issue. our room was way off to the side so it was nice and quite. to sum it up we had a fantastic time, the rooms and food were good. well worth the price to stay here fantastic

We just returned from Point Village. This was the second time we stayed. We spoke with many other travelers who shared the same opinion of Point Village. The location is great, and you get many perks for the money: A great beach for the tanning crowd, a dive shack for the water people, a rocky shoreline with built-in rock pools and a massage spa for the serenity seekers. Point Village is also great for families with children, as it offers child care to give parents time to reconnect. The property is situated at the top of the seven mile beach area, and is away from unwanted vendors, who sometimes get aggressive. I took plenty of US $1 dollar bills, as the tips are appreciated by the workers, who work hard and are friendly. The rooms could use some updating, but when I spend time in Jamaica, I don't sit in the room! I recommend Point Village to anyone on a budget who still wants to enjoy the beauty of Jamaica.

Just enjoyed our nineth trip to Point Village. We found the staff friendly as usual. The staff is what makes your stay so plesant. We were happy to see the improvements in the resort. The upgrades of the rooms are very nice. The food was quite good. We especially liked the menu selections offered in the evening. We would have like to see the bars open later at night. But, this was due to the time of the year. Not as many guest. We always enjoy the rock pools but would like to see more lounge chairs located in this area. All in all Point Village is a gem that has not been discovered by visitors to Negril

"Pros: The physical property is beautiful. The place has great charm. Workers friendly. Excellent value for the cost. Cons: Needs more beach loungers and chair pads; need to fix bathrooms by pool area and heat jacuzzi tub. Should add a small bar by adult beach. Air condition (or at least ventilate!) the ""night club"" and open it more often."

The best way to experience Negril is by renting from private owners. Point Village has many units that rent directly to visitors and their units are generally in much better condition.

i enjoyed my stay here. my son had his 4th birthday party in children center staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel in general is okay the food need more variety and improvements in quality. rooms were very clean. ac need improvement it did not cool the room like it should h nightclub on property is not open every night. and when is it very boring better to venture out to local clubs jungle best on thur ladies night or risky business that have live reggae band on the beach

"When we walked in we had to bring our own bags into the resort. Where at the other resorts someone greated their guest at the bus. Then they did not accomondate the room for three people even though the reservation clearly states that three people were staying in the room. We had to beg for three of everything, for example we had to beg for three towels and three keys. That was kind of crazy. What made the stay a little more enjoyable was the staff that worked at the bar, dining area and the beach. Without them the stay at the hotel may not have been enjoyable at all"

The breaches on this hotel are really nice. The staff was very un-helpfull and provided terrible service. Food was bad and rooms terrible. Recomended for travelers who do not care about service and a decent room.

"This is definately a budget hotel. It looks OK but the rooms could do with an update- BIGTIME. The bathrooms were tiny and there were lizards in the room. The worse part is the service... No towels... late roomservice, waiters who dont care at all... just really laxed! The food left much to be desired. It was plentiful, but terrible, lasagne made with ketchup and cheddar, deserts courtesy of duncan hinds and betty crocker. OK for families who are not fussy but not for discriminating travelers who demand more."
