When we checked in we had high hopes for our stay. Once up on our floor our hopes started to fall. The halls were dirty, the room was very small and extremely outdated. Our TV remote wouldn't work and when we called the front desk they said they would send someone up...that didn't happen. We had to call again the next day to request it be fixed. By dumb luck we ran into a maintenance person that helped us out. At night when we wanted to use our laptop and charge our cell phones there were no plugs available except for one in the bathroom. When we called down to the front desk to request an iron they told us that they didn't have any but we could go purchase one at the local drug store. Even if they did have one I don't know where we would have plugged it in unless we did so in the bathroom on the floor. After our room was cleaned after the first day the house keeping staff removed all the soap and shampoo and did not replace it or half of the towels. We called down to the front desk...again we were told someone would bring it up to us...didn't happen. I would not recommend this place to anyone hoping for any of the above mentioned. It is a great location though on the boardwalk.

I enjoyed my trip, I just didn't enjoy being in the hotel room. My highlight of staying at the Plim Plaza was it's beach front and the pool was big and it had a bar with servers. The parking was a pain. One parking lot in front of the hotel for about 30 guest and the second parking lot was 3 blocks away from the hotel.

2nd street was a good location. LOVE the rockers on the front porch. Room was small, bathroom had three different styles, Toilet ran the whole time, floor was squishy. Staff was very friendly and helpful

My family and a friend came down for the AVP tournament and got a great deal at the Plim Plaza. Much more reasonable than other hotels in the area. The rooms are a bit small and the hotel is showing its age, but you can't beat the location. Parking was also a bit of an issue since the garage only holds about 20 cars, but we had no problem walking to everything. Meals, beach, boardwalk were all within minutes. Loved the front porch with the chairs on the boardwalk and the views. It was a little windy for the huge pool, but the live music was terrific and the bar was nice. We weren't looking for anything fancy, but the Plim certainly provided a decent room and terrific location. The free newspaper and fruit was a nice touch also. If you are just looking for a place to stay for a few nights you won't be disappointed.

The teenagers staying there for "Senior Week" partied all night, they were so noisy I couldn't even sleep. Also, some knucklehead pulled the fire alarm and everyone had to evacuate the hotel at 2am.

This hotel is in an EXCELLENT location but the rooms are a bit under par, but overall this was a great deal! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! I arrived 2 hours before check-in and the allowed me to check-in early, and one of the maids actually helped me carry my bags to my room! Most people will expect too much for what they are paying, but I got exactly what I paid for...I wanted a hotel with convience, since I was traveling with a 1 month old and 6 year old, and that is exactly what I got. The exterior and pool/tiki bar area are in great condition, although the rooms could use a little TLC. I will be returning for a longer trip next year and will definately be staying here again, and will suggest this to my friends!

This hotel is terrible. 1- the room it was very small the window looked out onto the cement wall of the building next door so no view. There was no dead bolt or interior chain or other way to lock door from inside and I had some doubts about the door locking from outside too. The room was dirty when we arrived and maid never came in because the same pile of sand was next to bed when we arrived and when we left. 2- Staff was not very friendly or helpful when we arrived to check in the girl seemed like I was keeping her away from something else she would rather be doing. Any request for information got ignored for as long as possible. The day time manager when commented to about the hotel problems just rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders he didn't even offer an apology. 3- Parking we had to park in the hotel lot 2 blocks away from the hotel that looked like a place drug deals go down and hookers take tricks to. 4- The hotel was very noisy 24 hours. This is definatly the worst place I ever stayed and that includes living several months in a tent in Saudi.

They make the hotel look nice on the outside and make no effort to upgrade the rooms and bathrooms to a livable condition. This hotel is more for high school and college kids who don't care about living conditions.

The hotel was right on the boardwalk and had a great pool bar downstairs. The only thing that could've made it better would be having a balcony. Even without the hotel was great!

This was my first trip to Ocean City and I had read some of the negative reviews so my expectations of the Plim Plaza weren't very high. However, it would have been nice to know that they are undergoing renovation in the parking area, and the parking situation was a pain since we didn't even know where we were supposed to park upon arrival. The bird in the lobby...well, he's a parrot so he was obviously loud. Not his fault but perhaps they could keep him out by the pool more often. We didn't even go to the pool since it looked like Spring Break out there, but we did enjoy our first night listening to a live band by the pool bar. Besides the location, the pool bar was the only other positive. The room was tiny, no balcony ocean-side, which was a bummer. But the windows did open and the view was fantastic. The bathroom...well, it was probably the cleanest thing in the entire hotel, but they had a spotlight that kept burning my neck every time I brushed my teeth. Also the toilet was filled with hot water which was odd to me. Maybe it's a Maryland thing? The shower was impossible...burning one second and freezing the next. All-in-all, I'd say if you're single and in your 20s, this is the place. I couldn't imaging having children and staying here. Just had a raunchy look/vibe. Won't be staying here again.

Good for a couple or group of friends who don't plan on spending a lot of their time in the room. The hotel is right on the boardwalk, a block away from the carnival and rides. The beach is beautiful. The pool is heated and has a great lounging area. I recommend this to anyone who wants a cheap room to split with some friends. Wouldn't really pay more than 100 a night for it. Best part was that our check in was supposed to be at 4, but they let us in at 11am!

The location was great but the place was a complete dump. Room was overpriced and tiny, overall condition of hotel was run down and outdated, beds were terrible, hallways were filthy staff was ok, I really could go on for a bit more but I think you get the idea. Do yourself a favor for $30 bucks more you can stay at a decent place not far away.
