Date of Stay: August, 2007

Room very well kept food excellent including at wedding rehearsal dinner held there. The lobby was a bit cool during the cold winter weather there as front doors would open and close. I had room a bit short on handicap provisions, was toilet rails only; worked out OK. The room was comfortable, maid services including pressing excellent, internet access available and useful, and downtown location excellent for us as wedding was at Sao Jose church across the street. Taxis waiting and available. Would use again.

Hotel was not quite the standard we imagined, although was quite ok on the whole I guess. English was a problem though it was spoken a little. No security safe in room but available in reception during certain hours.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool was closed for their winter altho the temperature is still often in the 90s F. Great value for one of the nicest hotels in the city. The locals consider it the best hotel in Porto Alegre.
