We stayed for a week at this hotel. It is walking distance of many restaurants, drugstores, and bars. The location was good and the staff was very friendly. The pool is not heated as advertised and the rooms and hotel all need upgrading. The restaurant is closed most of the time as well as the bar area. The maids did a great job with what they had to work with. The overall suggestion that we have is the hotel is in a great location ,but needs many upgrades. The rugs in the entire hotel need to be changed many stains and odors. The hotel is directly located on the beach and does have a huge pool area.

The location of the hotel is great! It rain for couple while we were their..but it was scattered. I like the pool..it's clean and pretty. Don't like the room shower. Need to have door closet. The cleaning lady is nice and friendly and she did a great job.

There was a view from the small balcony of the ocean. Easy access to beach.

Everything about the stay was much better than expected considering the price. Great view, very clean, firiendly and helpul staff. Once parked I never had to get in the car again, everything was within walking distance for a stay at the beach. I would very much recommend this hotel to anyone including families with children.

This hotel was clean thanks to the great housekeepers! The staff at the front desk on the other hand really need a training in people skills! I have NEVER been treated that awful. You pay $37.50 the minute you walk in the door for parking (which is not told to you up front.) NO having fun at this place you can not have a noise violation or after the first one you lose ALL your money and your told to leave! The bar downstairs only offers breakfast no lunch or dinner. the elevators are AWFUL 15 mins just to get up or down the elevator. people checked out early just so they wouldnt have to deal with the staff or elevators! after a 15 hour drive to be treated so badly was not at all a good experience!

Great location and friendly staff. The smell in the lobby. I would go back as the hotel was nice, the ocean front view was great and the room was clean and the service was great.

First off, the customer service personnel were awesome. I had a minor emergency and had to go to the ER and they were able to direct me there. Also, our toilet flooded and was fixed immediately. The only thing I never got to work was our phone, but I just used my cell. The main drawback of this hotel was the elevators. there were only two extremely slow elevators. There was a blind convention in the hotel and between the blind and their seeing eyedogs it made it extremely impossible to get an elevator. When you did, you ran the risk of being in it with several people and their dogs. Most of the time, the elevators were overfilled with over 10 people and sometimes up to three or four dogs. I didn't realize until the last day that only 8 were allowed on board, and I started yelling elevators full. I am disabled myself and walking up and down 7 flights of stairs was out of the question. I think people should be forewarned when a convention is going to be held at a hotel. The conventioneers should have been been put on the first or second floors so the elevators didn't have to go up to every single floor. All in all, for the two days we were there, we were able to deal with these things effectively. If I had to spend a week though, I may have been a little frustrated by the end of it.

The pool and live entertainment on Saturdays! The elevators were very slow. The hotel was what I expected a place to hang out at the pool with the outdoor bar and the comfort for the children to enjoy the pool and kiddie pool area. The lunch on Saturday was very cheap they have a BBQ outside and the food ranges from $2.00 - $4.00 for hamburgers & hot dogs.

Great place to stay, great prices. Right on the sand. You couldn't be any closer to whats going on on the strip. Good family hotel, great area. Daytona Beach is a good family vacation spot. Thats what the city is trying to make it into. It seems like a dying town for younger people. Not much to do, not like it used to be. The locals are even trying to get spring breakers from coming there anymore! (from what we were told) It was fun nonetheless.

Despite the constant down pours of rain our entire week, the hotel and staff were great. After reading other reviews we were a little nervous but we saw nothing as bad as others apparently did. The hotel restaurant was only open for breakfast and lunch but because of the bad weather they even opened for dinner one night so guests would'nt have to drive off the property. This hotel is definately worth the price, If you're expecting 5 stars go elsewhere but I woud give it at least a 3. FYI...Do not go to the Playa sister hotel 2 miles down the road. We went there to use the indoor pool GROSS, it smelled and was cloudy and moldy.

The pool and live band. Slow elevators. We enjoyed the live band, outdoor bar and facilities. We also liked that the rooms were equipped with a microwave and refrigerator.

I'd first like to comment on the other reviews...1- No silverfish or other creastures in the room. 2- Yes, the sink was small and there was no where to put makeup, hair supplies, and even toothbrush. 3- Air conditioning was easily controlled in the room. 4- Ample parking for all guests without additional fees. My own personal notes... 1- No toliet cover (items can eaily fall in. Becareful with kids). 2- No bar area to hang out at night and outdoor bar closed very early. 3- Pool open 24-7 (very nice). 4- Able to walk everywhere and beach just down the stairs. 5- Staff was very helpful and nice. 6- Ample towels and chairs by the pool, but bring towls/blanket for the beach.7- Gyn is very outdated (not worth using).

Me and by buddy's were up all night drink black velvet and beer, when i shouted "LETS DRIVE TO FLORIDA!" 17 hours and some change later we pulled into Daytona Beach and checked in. Now picture this, i'd been awake for 40 hours, spent 17 of those driving, i had the mother of all hangovers and had just sat on my sunglasses (Oliver Peoples Victory Aviator 55 Gradient Polarized, retail for around $400) So needless to say i was in a very bad mood and not very friendly. I found the staff to be very nice and helpful (Even told me where to get a new pair of shades) The hotel was very clean and had an awsome view of the beach. Now the bad, i could have climbed the outside walls of the building to my room, and it would have taken far less time than waiting for the elevator, I sat waiting for the elevator so long one night i had time to drink more than half a bottle of jack. This hotel seems to cater more to spring breakers than people with kids, i heard some words being thrown around by differant teens that even i found offending, no respect for other people, thats the problem with todays youth. So if your like me, no kids and just looking for a good time, and don't plan to spend too much time in the room, this place is perfect. The woman at the front desk gave me her # and i'm suppost to hang out with her tonight, NICE! i'm actully still at the hotel now........i must say the WI-FI is really great!.

The closest rooms to the beach are the nicest. Bigger balconies, larger rooms. Very nice. The hotel lobby smelled pretty bad. I would label it as a mix of cleaner/mildew/body odor. Smelled bad the whole 4 days I was there. The carpet in both rooms were dirty and comforters on beds were stained in the first room we stayed in. The room closest to the ocean is amazing. It has a larger balcony and larger rooms.

We enjoyed our stay here & really did'nt have any problems. It was quiet & relaxing, very close to the beach which was really nice. The bathrooms were alittle too small & the pool was too cold to get into so we just spent our time on the beach. The location is great & lots of things with in walking distance. we really had a great stay & would stay again.

I liked just about everything about the hotel. The elevators were to small. The hotel staff was very friendly. Had a problem with the door over looking the beach. Went down to front desk and five minutes later someone from the staff was there fixing the problem. Over all my stay at the hotel was excellent!
