Good location in center of city. Close to Teatro Amazonas,Palacio Rio Negro. main city park, central shopping and walking distance to Porto Flotante, the floating harbor on Rio Negro. There river tours can be booked to Encontro das Aguas the point where Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes meet and then in a reserve part of the forest. A 3 star hotel with friendly staff and decent breackfast. I liked the friendliness and good guidance and directions I received. Because the city is on the Rio Negro there are no mosqitos and bugs until go out of the city. The humidity could be high. It is on the Ecuador and at the adge of the Amazon forest. Wear mostly polyester because cotton dries slowly.
