Description:
Originally the mansion of the Marquis of Pinar del Río that was turned into a hotel in 1909, guests are offered a welcoming ambience and eclectic style. Welcoming guests in the inner patio is a statue made from Carrara marble. The hotel has been decorated with oils from the colonial period painted by prestigious artists. A total of 188 rooms are available of which 82 are double rooms, 80 are twin rooms, 15 are junior suites, 8 are triple rooms and 3 are suites. Facilities include a foyer, a currency exchange desk, a lobby bar and a bar with a sun terrace as well as room service, 3 restaurants and car parking.

| Mainly good. On the plus side, big rooms, central location, internet.
Many helpful staff,by Cuban standards. I guess after being red for so long they don't know "Would you like fries with that?" Our most memorable Cuban customer service experience happened at the rooftop Restaurant the night we flew in. The service manager/head waitress told us the price of the buffet dinner in no uncertain terms "That will be 12cuc...EACH!!!!"
Food in all the restraints was pretty average (might as well just eat in the top one its cheaper)even when compared to USA food, we were glad we took Our Vegimite and Wheatbix.
The Sunset bar on the roof was fantastic , nice and cool and clean air above Havana. |
