The hotel was very clean, spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. The service took too long when asked to fix the Jacuzzi and the smoke alarm. The hotel was very nice, very spacious. Very nice place to stay when you have young children. It gave my husband and I a private room with a door which is different from your standard hotel room where we have to share the same space with the children. It was a really nice and cozy place to get away to. Sort of like a home away from home. The only thing I didn't like was that the Jacuzzi in the main pool area was not working and the indoor pool was not heated and there were no lockers in the pool area to change your clothes.

We stayed three nights around Thanksgiving and were very pleased with our stay. We loved the full kitchen and cooked breakfast and dinner every day...very relaxing after spending all day on the golf course. They even let us bring our dog, which was a big plus. There was a nice nature trail nearby to walk our dog, so she really enjoyed the stay also. It was very quiet, clean, and well furnished. We did have a leak in one of the bathrooms, but I called maintenance, and they promptly showed up and fixed the leak. All in all, a very pleasant stay, plus it was reasonably priced...way better than a regular hotel room. We would definitely stay again!

This was our second visit to Williamsburg Plantation. Because we're used to staying in timeshares, it was great to find one that would reasonably rent by single nights. WP is a beautiful facility, well maintained. Staff was very courteous and responsive to our request for a particular room set up. We asked for the top floor unit and found it well stocked and beautifully decorated and furnished. Our kids loved the HUGE television in the living room and were disappointed that the fireplace didn't work in July (we weren't!). The unit offered us plenty of room to spread out, beds were comfortable. We will stay at this property again and will book through the travel website. During the winter months it is an especially great deal - price goes down significantly from the summer.

Large rooms, new decor. Did not have stove or oven. Rooms were quit large, not all units have full kitchens, room units have sauna experience just wish we had a full kitchen so we would be able to dine in at times.

Accomodations exceeded expectations. Did not expect apt type accomodations - expected hotel type room. Seasonally, not able to enjoy outdoor pool and did not really intend to use tennis courts and indoor pool. Accomodations within room were perfect - although I would have preferred gas or "real" fireplace over electric fireplace. Seemed kind of cheesy, but then we were there to enjoy Williamsburg in a relaxed fashion and get away from the kids for just a brief moment - all the while in the wonderful setting of Colonial Williamsburg and the outlet malls.

I called to make reservations and was put through to a girl who started off with "Sir, the reason we called you". . . . I interrupted her and informed her that I called the hotel that they did not call me. After 1 or 2 minutes of her trying to convince me that the only way I can be put through to her line was if the hotel called me. She then stated they were offering a 4 day free stay for "word-of-mouth" advertising. I informed her that I was not interested and only wanted the two night reservation. She told me that it was free if I took the special. I asked her what's the catch, if I don't stay the entire 4 days I lose my deposit or do I have to sit through some boring presentation? She said there was nothing. All I had to do was check in and enjoy my stay. When I told her I was still not interested and only wanted to book the two night stay she said "let me see what my manager can do". The manager got on the phone and gave me the same sales pitch. I told her that I was not interested and that if they are giving away free night's for "word-of-mouth" advertising, then at check out they could refund all my money and I would be more than happy to tell all of my friends. She said she couldn't do that because there is a required 90 minute tour and sales demo for a condominium. I then informed her that I didn't want to stay there because their staff lied to me. I told her I would take my family somewhere else more honest and up front.

Size of rooms. Kitchen equipment. Pool too small. Internet Access slow. Not a hotel. Timeshare condos. Units in excellent condition and kitchen well equipped. Common facilities undersized for number of units.

My family and I just came back from a 6 night stay at the Williamsburg Plantatation. The property is very run down. The lawns are worn down and not very attractive. The pool area is very overcrowded and also run down. We stayed in a two bedroom unit. It was very hot the entire time as if the air conditioner never really cooled it off and the unit also had a musty smell. There is no cleaning service at all. I dont mind making the beds, but you have to launder your towels and take your trash down about a block to the garbage area. Not alot of fun on a vacation. I wont be staying here again. Busch gardens and colonial williamsburg were a lot of fun, but next time I will stay somewhere else. Also noted, there is no gate security at all, anyone can get in.

This was a great place to stay I am use to traveling in hotels with my 3 kids and this was like an apartment. Willamsburg usually is a summertime destination and I am sure this is a great place then too but we stayed in Feb. and It was pretty cool but we had a fireplace and very cozy suite which had a large jaccuzi tub which all of my kids and me fit in. There was an indoor pool at the clubhouse which i'm not quite sure if the pool itself was heated but the room was and the kids had a ball and had a hot tub as well which I enjoyed. The location was not far from stores or resturants and entertainment is not far to be found. I found the staff to be very polite and helpful. I thought I should leave my thoughts for others looking to stay here because I read reviews before deciding where to stay and I noticed that some werent too good so If your looking for a nice quite place to be left alone especially with kids I would suggest staying here.

Town House setting. Easy parking, privacy, well-equipped kitchen. Must have a car - nothing within walking distance. This is a time share resort. Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. You need to know there is no maid service. Perfect for families and people wishing to eat in. There was nothing missing.

My family and I just returned from a 6 night trip at the Williamsburg Plantation. I found the hotel to be very run down and dirty. The pool area was extremely dirty and very overcrowed. There is no wireless internet in the rooms. You have to go down to the clubhouse for that.,which was several blocks away. The check out time is 10:00am but the locks on our doors were changed by 7:00am. My husband went out for a run and was locked out. The hotel staff were very pushy trying to get us to buy a time share there, NO WAY. I really believe that the people writing good reviews about the williamsburg plantation are the people who were foolish enough to buy the timeshares!!

This place was way better then me and my family had expected. Prices were extremely reasonable, Room was spotless and well decorated, staff was very friendly. I will be staying here in the future. I also recommend this place to anyone. We were expecting a hotel room, but when we arrived it seemed more like a townhouse. The room was very roomy and can accomadate at least 6 people. Room was well decorated with jacuzzi tub and fireplace. There was also a washer and dryer right outside our room avaliable free of charge. The area was very quiet and peaceful.

The 2br suite was perfect for traveling with small children at Christmas. 2nd room should have 2 twin or double beds instead of 1 queen. The accommodations were great. The only thing people should be aware of is that because it is a timeshare there is no maid service.

We own a unit at Williamsburg Plantation & have visited several times. We had a 2 bedroom downstairs unit. The unit was wonderful - loved the fireplace, the sauna, the huge jacuzzi tub, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. We enjoyed our first two nights of our stay until the guests checked in to the unit above us. The family of four was loud & noisy, including the kids riollervlading on the balcony & jumping on the beds. Despite daily phone calls to the front desk, the problem was never resolved. It would get quiet temporarily only to begin again. You would think after three days of phone calls the staff would have taken care of the problem. The family was so upset by our phone calls that they would stand outside our door loudly complaining about us. We both checked out on the same day & we waited in our condo until they left before leaving so there wouldn't be a problem. Very disappointing. We loved Williamsburg & the property itself (amenities are nice) but it isn't enjoyavble when you are subjected to constant noise & the front desk/security won't handle the problem.

The room and grounds were wonderful. It was a little further from the parks than other hotels. There are indoor/outdoor pools, a Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, free DVD rentals, free activities for adults and children, a Nature trail, free use of washer and dryer in each unit (with some free tide). The community is gated at night and feels very safe. Unit was spacious. We traveled with 7 people aged 18mos 50yrs and each one of us loved it. We will be booking here again next time we're in VA. **there were no sales pitches or anything.

Convenience, two bedrooms for two little kids, lots of space! The dryer didn't work in the unit in which we stayed. This is a great place to stay with young kids. There are activities during the week, two great pools, and lots of room to spread out in the two bedroom suites.

Spacious. Did not have our reservation that I had paid for. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I paid for an upgraded suite and when I got there was told they were not a hotel that I was at the wrong place. When I showed them my email confirmation and address they then finally found our reservation but I had to be put in a handicapped room because they had been sold out for hours according to the manager. The staff was very rude to everyone that approached the desk. Talk about being overcharged.

There was so much room! We had two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a dining area for the same price as a cramped, two bed hotel room! Nothing negative. I will never stay in a regular hotel room again. When traveling with our children, having two separate rooms and lots of space makes the difference between a pleasant trip and one to be endured. The accommodations were beautifully decorated, clean, well stocked and quite comfortable. Excellent value.
