We went to Yosemite, so this hotel was a bit far to keep driving back and forth - 18 miles to southern entrance. Bass Lake in itself was a wonderful and peaceful place worth the trip. The 2 storey cabin we stayed in was realy cool. Romantic if you are looking for a bit of a granola type of romantic. Great for family with lots of nature things to do. The area is really beautiful in its own right. I would generally recommend it. Also very classy and expenisve restaurant on the premesis.

The lake is beautiful. Stayed in an older cabin that accomodated family of 5. Boat rentals and more, avail at reasonable rates. Lake Manzanita is about 10 minutes away and another very beautiful, yet more peaceful lake. Great place to take the kids!

The staff were very friendly and made our romantic getaway even more special. They had a bottle of champagne chilling in our room when we checked in. It made celebrating my husband's birthday special.
