This is a typical pull up to the door motel...no bells and whistles but for the price compared to 300 a night in town this works...plus cabs will pick you up right at the door!

it was a great price

Cheap rates. Noisy Bathroom. Good quality for the given rate. It is slightly hard to find and had some issues with cleanliness and overall appearance of room as well as noisy toilet, but it succeeds in meeting its basic needs in providing good television, comfortable beds and a functional bathroom. Not the prettiest thing in the world but it gets the job done at a reasonable and affordable rate.

for the price all right . rooms were clean but needed to be ugraded bathroom needed painting , shower head leaked. if your are looking for a clean place to sleep and dont plan to hang out there , with no extras this is just fine. plenty of places to eat nearby also food store parking is tough downtown leave car in one place walk or take trolley around there alot of one way streets and are narrow. if you are a morning person the early morning cliffwalk is great do the scenic ocean drive it is great

Very private. No HBO false advertisement. The hotel was very nice to stay in, a little more costly than what Priceline says but well worth it, If your looking for a good cheap stay this is where to go, cheap being low priced and nice. Very nice managers also.

Location, roomy and staff. Toilet too low to the floor, some things needs caulking also. All in all it was comfortable, and clean. Location was great as it was in the middle of where I wanted to be. Plenty of places to dine and a nice casino just down the street.

I went here on a business trip from Boston. Took my family with me who went shopping using the Trolley that stops here to go downtown. I was surprised for the price how nice the rooms were looking at the pics on their website. I stayed here on my own almost 8 yrs ago and it's NOT the same place. Alot of upgrades with a much friendlier/helpful staff. Before I left I ended up booking my summer vacation there before season gets booked. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a no frills bargain in Newport, but don't expect the Breakers Mansion at this price as I've seen some reviews.

The bed was comfortable. The smell in the rooms of mold. The room we shared was poor. Not sure about the other rooms in the hotel. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Great value for the price. This hotel was nice, quiet, and clean. The staff was friendly and curtious. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. I will be back again. The hotel is just few minutes from the beach, mansions, and downtown newport.

Clean and much better then expected. All in all I would stay again. Our expectations were low but it was a last minute place to stay. We (including my wife) were pleasantly surprised that it was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. You won't be disappointed.

i found a roach in the bathroom, hotel is old and not updates, including tv. the best is the location, centrally located, i would not recommend or use again.

Comfortable bed, microwave & small 'fridge. The bare essentials that we have come to expect, that is clock radio, hair drier, shampoo (only a small packet was supplied), and cream rinse were not supplied. While generally clean (found candy wrapper & straw wrapper on the floor), the room was shabby.

The Pinapple Inn is indeed the cheepest Hotel in Newport/Middletown Rhode Island, but I would not recomend it. My first night, first room was terrible, I found someones dirty socks under the bed along with some trash, the room had not been vacumed and was dirty in general. The next day I asked to be moved to another room. It was a little better but the ac/heat unit started making a funny noise. I couldn't turn it off so I unplugged it, Looking at the plug it looked kind of burnt. Who knows, it scared me so I didn't use it. I decided not to stay my next night, I was over it.I would recomend spending a little more money and staying somewhere else.

Location to downtown - only $9 cab ride. Very cheesy - no deal whatsoever - I paid $60 and that's what it costs to stay there!!! The motel is clean but pretty cheesy. There are absolutely no amenities to speak of. Just a place to crash. Very possible that there was some fishy business deals going on next door. State police came through...

This is an ordinary motel. Due to the fact that it is located in newport automatically puts it into a high price category. The main issue we had was how dirty it was! The mold and mildew in the bathroom was disgusting. I had to go out and buy my own Tilex and air freshener as the staff didn't take care of it. Beware and check the inside carefully. NEVER AGAIN!

Cheapest hotel in the area. Room had some dirty towels and stuff was left in the refrigerator. Also it smelled like the cigars sometimes when we came back after being gone during the day. Otherwise, a great value for the money and the location was great.

The Pineapple Inn continues to be the best value in Middletown, RI. The rooms are clean and provide everything that the traveler needs for his visit. I have been staying at the Pineapple Inn for over 20 years, from single day trips to week at a time. The recent addition of WIFI allows me to conduct business from the hotel room. Plenty of parking and the Inn's location provides privacy and quiet surroundings.

The Pineapple Inn was clean. We had a ant issue and I told the Hotel staff and she looked at me like I was crazy. I was bitten by the ants in the bed. They did come in a change our bedding and spray our room.

For the price, compared to others in the same area, it was a good value but as expected not the finest. The TV, shower and air conditioner worked well. and the room was reasonably clean and comfortable.
