My second stay at Piccadilly Inn Shaw and will stay again! Perfect for day visits by my elderly dad who loved sitting by the pool in deep shade while the rest of us sunned and swam. Dad called it Shangri-la for its beautiful pool, quiet grounds and wonderful comfort. When I checked in, I told them about bringing my dad over to visit and they changed my room to one closer to the parking and the pool! Didn't even have to ask!

I liked the centralized location regarding the buisiness I had to take care of. Fresno is hot, air conditioner was on high, but the room didn't get cold.

Please note that we are retired and travel a great deal now, so in writing this I have a great basis for comparison. We made the reservation since we were under the impression that the hotel was great, how could we go wrong? We found out that very misleading advertisements caused us to not enjoy our stay for the following reasons: #1) the room was dirty, ESPECIALLY around the bed and behind the night stand- really filthy! 2) The room was very plain and the windows and the screens on the windows were filthy. 3) We found what looked to be either mouse or rat droppings inside of the room. 4) The screens were HANGING on the windows. 5) When we tried to turn on the AC or the fan, the room heated up to boiling temp. When we called the front desk, we were told that the AC is turned OFF, and that unless you want the room to heat up, no air circulation is possible. 6) Went to breakfast(?) this is food that I would not feed a dog--not quality at all. Could not even eat it. Every morning the maids would come BANGING on our doors at 9 am to clean the room, even though check-out is 11 am- even with a sign outside. SUMMARY: DO NOT be fooled by the cutsie exterior, this place has not even earned a trophie since 2001! Maybe at one time is was nice, but since that time things have REALLY down downhill. Would never stay again since there are soo many other really nice places to stay.

My husband and I absolutely loved it. Loved the double showerhead and security. Didn't find anything negative except for housekeeping knocking at 8:30am. Will stay there again.

The new remodeled rooms are very nice, could have papered the bathroom too, but nice new drapes, carpet was very soft, and overall looked very nice. Check in at 5 p.m. was a little late, check out at noon was great, but housekeeping started in at about 9 so no sleeping in. Overall, I enjoy when I stay at the Piccadilly, I feel it is well run, the staff is attentive, it provides amenities that are in line with this level of a hotel. Provided wireless Internet which was great, has great room service and restaurant/bar and continental breakfast to make it convenient. Stayed in the remodeled wing this time, the update was much needed and looks really good, great value for the money. I always feel safe at this hotel, and it is convenient to most of my favorite spots in Fresno.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Picadilly Shaw. From checking in to checking out, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room was very nice...larger than many hotel rooms we've stayed in....easy to get from the parking lot. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and we enjoyed sitting in some of the common areas just to take it in. The hotel's location was a BIG plus for us, since our spare time was spent shopping......many stores and restaurants within blocks. We have chosen this location for our family reunion this spring. We're really looking forward to another very pleasant travel experience.

Definitely will stay at the SHAW my next trip to Fresno. Staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and clean. Easy free parking by room. The room was comfortable, spacious and larger than most. Very clean room and shower had two . . . count 'em, not one, but two shower heads. Ahhhhh, so soothing . . . stayed in the shower for a good 1/2 hour (carefull thou, the hot water sneaks up on you . . . so tweek the hot & cold until you're comfortable). The Piccadilly SHAW is only about a mile away from Fashion Mall where you can get some good eats at Cheese Factory or the neighboring Steak House (if you're in the mood for steak, DO NOT go to the SHAW recommended "Tahoe Joes" . . . steak is tough . . . we should have gone to the Steak House at the Fashion Mall).Only downside to our stay was the pool is not heated (this is Dec., so didn't have much use for a "cold" pool). Also the jacuzzi was not operational. Now the jacuzzi we missed, would have been nice to soak ourselves up along those pulsating whirl jets. Also the SHAW is a convienient location . . . if you get the munchies in the middle of the night, skip the little strip mall across the side street and venture another block down . . . there's a Jack in the Box and a Rite Aid. Or, hop in the car and drive 1/3 mile down Shaw to the better equipped strip mall.Hope this helps and gives you some insight on what to expect with your selection of Piccadilly Inn at SHAW. . . Enjoy ! ! !

The staff was great. We flew in from Hawaii and were very tired and they allowed us to have early check in which we were so greatful for so we were able to get some rest before our event that night. The room was clean, the counter space in the bathroom was good. It was very quiet and peaceful. I think this hotel gives great value for the price.

Overall my stay was great! I did see however, that the security should have been a lot better, because it was dark going to my building at night alone, and the morning of my departure, there was a man standing outside in the parking area at 4:45 smoking a cigarette, I was being met at that time by a gentleman , who was waiting when i walked outside. I am not sure what would have happened had he not been there already! Overall a nice hotel, but please do something about security at night because of those cottages !

The Piccadilly Inn Shaw in Fresno was a nice hotel. The rooms were clean and the service was good. They had a problem with the heating in the room, which they fixed and with the cable, which they fixed as well. These two problems, did however, inconvenience me a bit. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood with shops and restaurants nearby. It is more convenient to the university than to downtown or the airport.

We have stayed at the Picadilly Hotels in Fresno and really enjoy the one located on SHAW. The rooms are larger and very comfortable. Clean, quiet and convienent location. They have a nice expanded continental breakfast. We forgot somethng in our room. We called the next day and received the item by FedEx within 3 days. We will definately stay at this hotel again and again.

The hotel is quite spread out, and the rooms are hard to find. The putting green was always cluttered with debris, and the location seems a little out of the way.

I mainly chose the hotel because it had a restaurant/bar and room service on the premises. Unfortunately, apparently on Sundays the restaurant is closed the entire day and there's no room service. Since I didn't have a car, I had to walk over to Jack-In-The -Box and get my dinner there. I wasn't too happy. However, the menu they provided looked to be mostly bar food and nothing very healthy was offered, so I suppose it didn't matter either way.Everything else was great, though. Very quiet and comfortable.

The Picadilly Inn Shaw was a great place to grab a little rest after a week of camping and before heading back to Los Angeles. The room was large, cool, and had a small refrig to keep our left overs in. The pool is in a quiet central location. The hotel restaurant was satisfactory and the delux continental breakfast was included in the price of the room. There are also eateries within walking distance if you prefer. I would consider this hotel a value.

"The hotel appeared (and is) old, shows signs of neglect and needs upgrading outside and inside to get to that ""5"". Outside needs upgrading and painting. The sleeping room was large and comfortable, clean and well furnished and the bed was good. The bathroom was tiny and outdated. A jury rigged shower head delivered little water and the toilet ran continuously. A cockroach was killed here. Security was good."

"rooms large, table cloths in room with continental breakfast dirty, staff does not change them or restock food for cont breakfast. also only oj on breakfast, if alergic you must ask for another kind. rooms in back of buildings, quite dark at night. no securty."

The Piccadilly Shaw is an amazing place to stay. They have beautiful grounds and their rooms are phenomenal. Their employees were very nice and efficient. I would definitely recommend to my colleagues.

I was so surprised at the beautiful large rooms and the garden courtyard. Our family of 4 was very comfortable and the staff was most helpful with info on the area.
