Advantages: Location and price are very very good for those, who come in Rome for siteseeing. Every place in the city can be reached on foot in 15-20 minutes. Disadvantages: no breakfast and asstrays in rooms.

Very good service prior to our arrival with the hotel booking a car to pick us up from the airport. Friendly efficient staff. This hotel is really what is says it is: simple stylish and small rooms in a great location. Very clean, excellent bathroom and effective aircon. Lots of cafes nearby but try others around the corner for beter food and much beter value.

Bare Bones vs. Barely Bones Our recent stay at Hotel Piazza Venezia in Rome was made negative by the lack of space, amenities and caring of the hotel and its staff. Our 10' x 9' room (including the closet space) didn't have a single drawer, a single chair, a clock or even a comfortable mattress. The shower was so crowded that once I got both feet in I couldn't move them. We had to wedge our bodies onto the toilet which never did flush properly. Each morning we were awaked by 4 A.M. by street noises followed by ambient hotel noises. The staff seemed to sense the fact that they had little to offer and were rather brusque with us.

Made very welcome & staff did their best to accomdate our needs, especially when it was 30 degrees plus with no working air-conditioning! Room was smaller than expected & photo's on the website were deceptive! Excellent location for sight-seeing, everything was within walking distance, although we hopped onto the open top bus to get to the Vatacan. Found an excellent Restaurant around the corner, Bibo, great service & excellent food!

This hotel is a great value for the price, BUT - as they say - you get what you pay for. The hotel has central air, so you have no control over your individual guest room temperature (so during our late June visit, we took 3 showers in 1 day because our room was so hot). In the shower, you are doing a half leg squat because of the awkward shape of the shower stall. Our particular room leaked at the sink (so the bathroom floor was soaked after brushing teeth), but that was certainly just a particular room....not the whole hotel....though it does speak to the lack of importance they put on general maintenance. On the plus side, the location is wonderful and the front desk staff was curt, but not unfriendly. No internet (as of June 2008).

The rooms were small, dirty, and smelled. They tried with us and other guests to give us the worst rooms unless we complained, then they would provide us with a more decent room, although for the price we paid this was hardly acceptable either.

My stay at this hotel was quite possibly the worst I have ever had. The1st room I was given stank of stale cigarettes had no windows, and the phone didn't work. The next room I was given had been a joint room in the past before being 2 single rooms - there was a door that was thin as paper betwn them. You could hear everything in the next room, and I was kept awake throughout the night by people coming home late. During my stay the elevator broke down but was fixed the following day. I booked a 'Mercedes' car service reco'd by the hotel to the airport, at a premium price - and because I could pay by credit card. When it came time to leave i was told it had not been booked properly as they didn't have my credit card - even though I had comfirmed this was not needed at the time of booking. I ended up having to get out cash, get charged from my bank - and ran late for the airport. I left infuriated and would advise others never to stay at this hotel. It's more trouble than it's worth.

The hotel is a strange location. and gets not seved by an underground line. In fact even though it was advertised as having a breakfast it did not, so definetely that did not add to the value. It is still under renovation and the photos are rather deceiving. The room I was given waws one of theri "superior" rooms, beacuse of no availalbility but I fiund it being pretty basic.

I have been to Rome 4 times and the 3 times i was in Rome each hotel for the 3 trips were too far away from the city center, but my 4th trip when i stayed at Hotel Piazza Venezia i couldnt have been in a more perfect location, i was at least 10 minutes walk from the main sites like The Roman Forum The Collosseum The Trevi Fountain and the choice of 4 street side cafes outside the hotel, perfectly located a great stay insured!

This hotel is overpriced for the size of the rooms. The bathroom is far too small and one could barely fit in the shower. The air conditioning in our room did not work during our stay. We were even moved to a second room where the airconditioning also did not work. The only good thing about this hotel is the location.

We stayed at this hotel shortly after the new owners began refurbishment work. There were some maintenance problems but I believe that these were being addressed. Staff were great and the hotel location was ideal for our sightseeing needs.

The Staff are great, the location is good but you don't get much for your money. Bathroom slightly tacky and bedroom tiny. Rooms at the front are noisy.

Ended up with an attic room with gabled ceiling with the only light coming from a skylight in the entryway. The bathroom was tiny with the ceiling being a bit under 6 feet. Not adequate for taller people.

| The rooms are basic, but clean. Our room were disturbed by music
from the bar below 24 hours, however when we complained after 3days it stopped and it was quiet for the rest of the period. The last 2 days we had to complain about the aircondition not working properly beeing to hot, but it was very good the first days nearly too cold. The airconitioned is centrally managed and can't be regulated in the rooms. Towels were missing after cleaning two of the days, however the claning and service was good. The staff were kind and helpful. Very centrally located, many sights within walking distance and well served by public transport. |

This hotel was incredibly inexpensive for its amazing central location. It is new and was still being constructed in parts, so there was some noise in the late morning. They do not offer breakfast as most other properties do, but that did not matter to me. If you are looking for a cheap place to rest your head, this is a great choice.

Nécessité d'un couverture supplémentaire mais dans l'ensemble l'hôtel est à recommender... même pour un séjour dépassant 2 nuits ! Un restaurant serait en cours de construction...

Hotel undergoing extensive refurbishment, but does no affect guests. Think price will increase greatly when refurbishments are finished, because it's such great value at present. Fantastic location with all major sights within easy walking distance
