The hotel is one block from Union Station which is a major hub for the Metro and Amtrak trains. It's an easy walk to the U.S. Capital The staff was very friendly and willing to provide assistance and answer any questions. I highly recommend this hotel.

The bed and the flat screen TV were standouts. Best I've ever had in a hotel. I parked at the Union Station garage about a block away for half the daily hotel's price and rode the Metro from there.

i travel to DC often, and had never stayed at the Phoenix Park. 2 blocks to the train station made it very convenient. Smallish Lobby and elevators, but my room was nice and clean. halls and carpeting fine. bed very comfortable and bath very adequate. i had dinner at the Irish Pub in the bldg. and found it upbeat and good Pub food. For downtown convenience certainly a decent value.

When I walked into the Phoenix Park lobby, I thought I had made a mistake and booked the wrong hotel. The lobby was small and a bit dingy. However, the room was very pretty and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the third floor ice machine was broken during my stay and the fourth floor ice machine had been removed. I had to go to the fifth floor to get ice. The location is great, two blocks from Union Station and walking distance to the National Mall.

I found our room to be very comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The restaurant was a little overpriced but convenient if you didn't want to leave the hotel. Everything was centralized. Union station one block away and the Capital was two blocks away. Metro and Marc trains at Union Station. Easy to get around the city. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I got a great deal on this hotel which is only a ten minute walk to the Capital in DC. The Irish Pub Restaurant food was appalling but otherwise a good hotel

A little shabby chic now but rooms are a good size, have an olde worlde feel and the bar is top notch.

This was a nice hotel and if you charge something to your room they add a service charge on top of it and the parking was $30.00 per day. This seemed quite sneaky!

The decor of the Phoenix Hotel is lovely. The rooms are a bit small, but the location provides access to many restaurants and social establishments.

I have personally stayed at hotels all over the world. I am usually discouraged by the lack of effort hotel's give to provide their customers with first class service. If youre looking for first class service, great food, a comfortable bed, and a good price....then the phoenix park hotel is the place for you.

We had a fabulous stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel. It could not have been more convenient, with quick access to the Metro and very close to the capital building and monuments. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in making suggestions and travel arrangements. I cannot say enough about how comfortable the beds in the room were, I didn't want to wake up! The restaurant/bar (The Dubliner) was perfect for breakfast and a late night drink. I would go back in a second!

The hotel had nice beds, HDTV, and free wireless but the room was a bit on the smaller side. Overall, a good experience for the money.

Located very close to union station and the capitol, great for the tourist and business traveler alike. Room is comfortable and tastefully decorated to impart a homely feeling. Free wireless was an added bonus. Very convenient parking on the weekends but can be costly during the week.
