On previous trip we had stayed at the Phoenix Inn in Bend. Thinking it was a fairly nice hotel although a little pricey, it has a great downtown location and would be a great place to stay during the Flashback Cruz. We made our reservation almost a year in advance knowing that weekend would be busy. We called the Wednesday before our stay to confirm our reservation and verify our reservation was for the kind of room we wanted. (Double King with a balcony) When we arrived we were told that the Manager had down-graded our room, they had overbooked. There was one young girl at the counter, no manager available. The girl on duty said she tried to reach the Manager, but was unable to get a hold of anyone. There was nothing she could do. We were booked in to a double queen on the ground floor. We found that the bathroom had not been cleaned and there was urine all over the toilet. We asked to be moved to a clean room and were given the same type of room down the hall. We were assured that they had given us a discount on our room. If we hadn’t been willing to pay for the room we wanted, we would have booked at a cheaper hotel! What good is it to make a reservation (almost a year in advance) if they are going to move us out to a room we don’t want! The whole purpose was to get one with a balcony to watch the cars! We won’t take a chance at the Phoenix Inn.

Wonderful stay in Bend. We didn't want to stay with relatives, so we booked a hotel in Bend and loved it. The air conditioner was on when we got in the room and we needed it, because it was 90 degrees outside. The decor was very welcoming. Loved the extra space and the kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink. We had an extremely comfortable king size bed and we slept through the night. The breakfast was great. I had 3 plates of food and my husband said that's the most he's ever seen me eat!!!! The only downside is that we wished there was room service, because we didn't want to leave the hotel.

The hotel is clean except my dirty bed sheet. The front desk service at night was excellent except that gentleman in the morning. Of course, the dirty sheet and cold service.

I had never heard of this chain, but it should be counted among the top chains. And this location in Bend was perfect. It is approximately two short blocks (no more than 250 feet) from downtown Bend. The free continental breakfast was better than most and included self-made (fresh) waffles or previously prepared. The room itself was huge; the room bonuses included real leather couch, L-shaped desk, partition wall, separate vanity from toilet/shower, satellite tv, fridge, microwave, etc. The staff was very friendly and the hotel laid out well. Good luck and have fun in Bend; there is much to do.

Super spot. Would recommend highly. Newly renovated with flat screen TVs. Very clean. The staff is so helpful in every way. They continually gave me print outs of directions, information etc from their computer at the desk. They took the time to explain any questions we had about anything we asked them. The breakfasts were very good in the morning; big variety and quite good. Convenient and so much easier than going out for breakfast. Would return again and wouldn't consider any other place if. If you need to be in the center of Bend and walking distance to the stores in the middle of town, this is the place!

Downtown Bend is literally at your footsteps! All you need to do is walk out the door, and down the stairs, to stroll through Bend's charming shops, restaurants and cafes. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. They serve a nice breakfast buffet each morning with daily afternoon cookies.

I stay frequently in Bend and have tried the majority of hotels in the area while traveling for work. This is the only hotel that has had everything I usually look for in a hotel worth paying for. The beds were brand new and far more comfortable than my own at home- I even asked the manager where I might purchase one. Being downtown was the best advantage, I didnt have to drive, just walked downtown for dinner and a stroll through the park. The view from my room was breathtaking, I was on the second floor and could see the mountain peaks from my balcony- the sunset was amazing from my room. The breakfast was so much better than the other hotels in the area- eggs, waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy.. The gym had recently been redone also, and they have nautalis equiptment which was a shock, I've never seen this at a hotel. I've stayed mostly at the Marriott when coming to Bend, but the Phoenix is my favorite by far, I'll be back. Thank you for the wonderful service as well, great staff!
