Excellent staff, perfectly located, minutes walking distance to Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Metro, Prado, parks. A bit of street noise, as all rooms are located on street side. But it does give one a feel for the city.

The hotel was excellant. The location could not have been better. The rooms were spotless and very well serviced. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and could not have been more helpful when I had my wallet stolen. I had the police and card companies sorted out within the the hour.

the best thing about this hotel is the location. you probably can't find a better location in the center of madrid, except the modern hotel which is right next door. the worst thing is the noise. those from the streets are bearable, but you can hear any noise coming from the neighboring rooms & the corridor. staff can be helpful & courteous. wooden floor has not been mopped for a while. i could tell from the soles of my slippers.

I think that the hotel was very nice! The location was perfect, in the heart of the city with major attractions and shops. The hotel was "high tech" style with very nice modern bathroom. The room was pretty spacious, clean and nice. In addition we got free breakfast, though Venere states that the breakfast is not included in the price. This was a real delight for us. The breakfast was extremely good with a lot of tasty things. We are really happy that we stayed at this hotel and could think of coming there back! Highly recommended :)

Location was great....very close to a major metro station and not far to walk to historic district or to museums. Free internet in lobby was a nice way to keep in touch with friends/family. A/C was poor in one of the rooms, but the hotel was full and it was the weekend...so they gave us an extra key so we could keep the a/c running even when we were gone. Shower facilies were great. Rooms were small but adequate. Decor a bit odd, but wasn't important this trip! Breakfast seemed expensive until you realize how hard it is to find a decent breakfast in Madrid. The buffet was enough to satisfy even the big eaters in our family. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Burger King next door and Starbuck's a few doors down if that is important to you! Rooms could have been quieter....heard noise from out in the hall and from the next room. Had a locked area to store our luggage after checkout...very helpful! Overall, not a bad combination of basic necessities, convenience, and somewhat reasonable pricing in a very expensive city. We would use them again.

Too excpensive breakfast... Should be included in the price! My cousin didn`t like the doors to the toilet/bathroom. It was too "see through"! Except from that thing, SUPERB location.

Due to construction work we had major difficulties in getting to the hotel. This should have been communicated before by the time of reservation. The regristation was very uncomfortable. The room was very nice but the additional bed with two levels was a little bit strange. Beside that the interior of the room was excellent and tasteful.

a good location within Madrid centre. The place is OK and the staff friendly. Parking can be a problem (expensive in the nearest parking, but usefull in such area). One dificulty is to know that different Petit Palace Hotels exists around (do not mixt yours).

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Not only was it in a great location (walking distance to everything), but the room was clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Great room, maybe a little bit little. Very convenient for visitors because it's near to underground and in the city center!

The hotel has obviously under gone major refurbishment and it shows. The rooms are clean and very modern with LCD TV and full body shower. The rooms are very small and the dividing panel between bath room and bedroom is forsted glass but with a see through centre panel. This means you can see (and hear!) the other person on the toilet. Without doubt more suitable for couples or very close friends. Staff were excellent and location is superb. Seconds from SOL and a short walk to a number of cafe bars and a club just opposite but far enough away not to be noisy

No garage, in contradiction with website info. Too much noise inside the hotel, during the night. Rooms needs proper care in terms of sanitary equipment, walls, doors. Excellent location. Warm welcome.

Room far too small to be classified as a double. Bed up against the wall, only one side could be used. Desk area taken up by the TV standing on it. Luggage rack unusable,as table-top over lapped it. No space to move with two people in there. Bathroom light-switch blocked by the Tv. Walls needed cleaning or painting. We asked to see the manager but no-one knew who or when they were on duty, they could not be reached as there was no phone connection. Left a letter for the manager but have not received a responce as yet.

The room is spacious to accomodate a family of four. The room provides laptop computer with internet access, which is a definite strength. The decor of the room is modern and pleasing. However, the glass door of the bathroom could be an embarrassment for shy people. The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing and shopping. It is in a central area, and is very close to the metro station. This is complemented by the only shortcoming - the noise level. I would consider coming back to stay at the same hotel if I return to Madrid.

Location was great, room was great except there was the constant sound of running/flushing water through the aircon vent. Fortunately, it sounded therapeutic - almost like being at a seaside resort. But that shouldn't have been the case. That's why overall, it's just below "excellent". Would recommend it anytime.
