Experience 400 years of history in one hotel. The 17th-century property was known for hosting many famous guests until it closed in 1970. It then reopened after a full renovation in 2004.

This excellently located hotel blends stylish, contemporary decor with a rich history as one of Madrid’s oldest hotels. It lies just outside the elegant Plaza Mayor.

Dating back to 1610, the Posada del Peine occupies a charming building in the capital’s cultural heart. It reopened with a chic new style in 2004, but still retains its beautiful original façade. From here you can easily walk to the city’s main square of Puerta del Sol and on to Gran Vía and the world-famous galleries.

Getting there. A regular underground metro service runs from the airport to central Madrid. The station is located in terminal 2 and is on line 8 (pink). The single fare is 1.75 EUR. The bus departs every 10 minutes and tickets cost 2.40 EUR. Taxis into the city centre cost about 30 EUR, including an airport surcharge.
