The room where we stayed was small, dark and cold. The toalet was separated only by glass wall.

Excellent location, comfortable rooms and decent breakfast. Only thing the room lacked was a view - but it was quiet.

I stayed at this conveniently located hotel for only one night with my two young children. We received a very friendly and helpful welcome from the staff and had a comfortable and trouble free stay.I would certainly stay here again if visiting Madrid.

| The location of the hotel is perfect. All major sites are within walking distance.
The room we had was clean and there is almost no noise from the streets.
The standard room is very small and the 'massage'shower is installed too high. Instead of a back massage you would get a shoulder and head massage. |

This hotel is veryclean and well appointed. Rooms perhaps a little small but well seviced. One of group had a room to the front which was very noisy at 6am when neighbouring disco came outat weekend. Breakfast was varied and of good quality and reception staff were friendly and helpful.

the hotel was nice an the rooms spacious but the air condition was not adequate and we were uncomfortable during the day. The staff were very helpful but this was a management problem and not within their scope. Location and quietness was very good though. The room seemed a bit musty and I was sneezing and coughing maybe because of dust?

Not a bad hotel and not a good hotel. For the price you probably can get something better, or something as good but slightly cheaper. Location is very good though, in between Plaza del Sol and Chueca.

Hotel Petit Palace Plaza del Carmen was better than I would have imagined. We reserved a family room, but decided to go with 2 double rooms instead. The hotel gave us the same price for the 2 smaller rooms as for the 1 larger one. This was a real find in a central Madrid location. We loved the laptops in the rooms, the modern bathrooms, flat screen TVs and free bicycles. The location was outstanding. Caveat, the club in the plaza should move anyone wishing for a quiet weekend to ask for an interior room. But if you're going to be out for the Madrid nightlife, get one of the plaza rooms and enjoy the outside view during the day. This is THE place to stay in central Madrid.

Had 4 night stay and found accomodation very clean well appointed and smartly presented . Rooms perhaps a little small and lacking drawers or shelves. One of our party had room to front and it was noisy at weekend when nearby disco emptied at 6.00am. Rooms on other side had no outlook but were very quiet. Breakfast selection was very good . We found reception staff very helpful.

the family room was little and some of the accessories of the bathroom were broken. Moreover the breakfast was not included. On the whole, I stayed well and the position of the hotel is very convenient.

Tiny room, the beds were extremely firm. Streetparties just outside the hotel every night, keept it going until 7 in the morning. The hotel surroundings are not the best, but central to most tourist attractions. Plaza Carmen which could have been a nice plaza, is occupied with barracks.

excellent location in the center of the city at a nice and quiet 'plaza', very near to the 'Gran Via'and Metrostation (1 min.): it can't be better! There is so much to see in Madrid. We can surely recommend this 'design hotel'. You get a lot for your money. The relationship between price/quality is good! The staff is nice too. My husband, son (17y) and I are very satified.

Pros: Excellent location, excellent breakfast, good rooms, good staff, Cons: loud nightclub nearby (certain nights anyway), many prostitutes one street over. Overall, a good place to stay and i would do so again.

Actually hard to write a review on the particular named hotel as were moved from there to Petit Palace Londres, so have entered review for that hotel. We had complmentary breakfasts as compensation and the room was fine-except that I had particularly booked Plaza del Carmen and mentioned also that as 3 women travelling, we required 3 beds. The room we were given only had 2 beds. As it happened 1 member of our party was unable to travel so that wasn't fortunately a problem-though obviously could have been. Hence lower marks as regards 'correspondence between web pages and actual property'!!

Only complaint is that we had booked a room with 2 twin beds and got only one large bed. Other than that - wonderful hotel ideally located.

We were two adults and two teenagers staying in a familyroom at 1. floor, and it was like staying in a dark box. No daylight. And not too much space. Still we would recommend the hotel to other travellers: The bathroom was modern and spacious. There was a PC with internetconnection in the room. And when we stepped outside the hotel, we were in the middle of everything!

First time at this hotel. Probably not the last. Three perfect things about the hotel: location, location and location. Welcomming employees. Very cool two floor room. Old wooden beams in the cieling, combined with relatively modern architecture. Some greasy smell from the kitchen, and noice from the vents. But hey, we enjoyed our stay very much. When you are in Madrid, you don´t sit around in your hotel room anyway. You pour yourself a nice sangria at on of the local tapas bars, and watch the people pass by. :o)
