Restaurants: Agut D'Avignon The Restaurant presents a rural Catalan decoration as authentic as the cuisine that is elaborated in its burners. The Catalan tradition annotated by the market in dishes as the partridge to the vinaigrette, the pheasant Agut D'Avignon, the entrecote of veal with cabrales sauce. Mama Cafe In Ciutat Vella's district, this restaurant has a gastronomic diverse that includes the Catalan, French and Italian cuisines. The place, of ultramodern style, strong and cold tones, it receives a modern clientele that tastes its dishes, served gladly. Pay attention to the elegant decoration, surprising in comparison with the neighbouring restaurants of the zone. Casa Leopoldo Since it opened its doors in 1929 it has been a model of the Catalan traditional cuisine. With its characteristic walls of Manises's socles, a familiar treatment and a menu where it gives priority to the home made food. It has specialities such as the meatballs with cuttlefish and shrimps. All the fresh products come from the nearby Market of The Boqueria. Les 15 Nits This restaurant has a good service, a cuisine that combines Italian and Mediterranean dishes, a great sight and a good relation quality-price. It is not possible to reserve, but it is one of the most valued places of the downtown. Living In the historical city centre, between the Cathedral Square and the walk of Portal of the Angel, you will find one of the new restaurants of the zone. It combines vegetarian plates with the most creative and healthy of the Mediterranean cuisine. In the summer, the terrace is magnificent. In winter, a dinner in the light of candles can be the best plan.

Ideal location to discover Barcelona on foot from. Many places of interest right on the doorstep, within easy walking distance. We found all the staff, particularly on reception (Marco from Galicia!) to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern but having retained some of the old, original architecture, which makes it interesting, had a computer in both the rooms we occupied and plenty of lightswitches to play around with!!! It is quiet, clean and we were lucky enough to have a balcony, which in addition to the chairs could have done with a small table.Breakfast seemed expensive (as mentioned in previous reviews) and can easily be had in one of the many coffee shops nearby The garden felt restful and private but could do with a slightly more personal touch. All in all we would recommend it and not hesitate to stay there again.

Excellent location, literally just off the Ramblas, but with none of the noise you might expect. Ideal for exploring the Gothic area and only a short walk to the old port. Room was clean and well equiped, staff freindly and curteous. Garden was nice but should have been swept to make it more inviting.

The hotel itself was very nice. The area of Las ramblas however was a bit "rough" for a family with children especially at night. Be aware that our taxi driver dropped us off at 11pm to wander aimlessly without directions on how to find the hotel, bags & kids in tow. The hotel staff was very nice, and the room was very spacious! We would recommend it for sure!

A great hotel which includes free internet access. Don't let the hotels proximity to the ramblas put anyone off. Once in the front doors it is an oasis of calm!

Pleasant quite hotel literally 30 seconds off The Rambles. Staff helpful and polite, although queues at the check in desk at times seemed slow to move. Adequately sized rooms but no tea or coffee making facilities so take your own. Excellent bathroom facilities although the shower tower was too powerful to be contained within the shower area and as a result the laminate flooring is starting to de-laminate due to water ingress. Very pleasant enclosed quite garden area to the rear but no obvious disabled access although the rest of the hotel seemed disabled friendly. Only real negative was that the double bed was actually two singles pushed together and the bed linen was for single beds. With very little effort required the beds separated so if you are wanting a romantic liaison it’s a single bed or take some straps to tie the beds together! Deal was for a room only and breakfast was advertised at 15 euros a head. Don’t bother, just walk out the front door to the bar opposite where you can have an excellent breakfast for two and still have change from your 10 euro note! Would we stop again? Yes, it is in a superb location as a touring base. Price on internet seemed a bit on the high side but as the actual desk rate was 325 euros a day I suppose we got a bargain.

Hi, yes my wife and I thought the hotel location was perfect for getting around the city. We had a very quite room and found the services:- safe only, was easy to operate. As with other reviews we felt the hotel could have provided tea & coffee making, even if was for just for the first nigt. Still all in all a very good hotel.

Good quality but slightly expensive as you have to pay extra for breakfast and few other hotel facilities. Very clean and modern style with modern facilities in each room. Very close to anything you want including shops, street entertainment, beaches, historic visits. Especially convenient for the metro and bus tours.

Hotel was in a fantastic position just off the Ramblas. Hotel room was quite compact but apart from that was very clean and comfortable. Definitely reccomended.

The perfect spot for Barcelona visitors - you'll not find any other hotel of the quality and price just some meters beside the la rambla.

The buffet breakfast was adequate - the member of staff that was on in the morning was miserbale and unhelpful. The reception staff on the day we arrived were also miserable and their english was not brilliant - so when we arrived about 4pm the room was not ready she kept talking to another girl about the booking on screen - then she only had us booked in for 2 nights not three - and finally when the room was ready - we waited about half an hour(we booked an Executive room that sleeps 4 as there were 3 of us) and the room when we got in there was a double room with a single bed which had been put into the little corridor that leads into the room - so I went back down to reception to complain and she was most indignant, and came up to the room to see and I asked her if she would like to sleep in the corridor!! She did not reply to this comment and she did not speak to us at all, she just kept looking at us. I dont know what their Executive room that sleeps 4 looks like but the room we had was ceratinly not the one. - so we then were moved to the room next door which did sleep 4 it was double bed and 2 bunk beds set into a wall behind a screen - Not an executive room - this we had to accept because she would not accept that we had booked an executive room. Their normal price per room per night was 350 euros and I do not think it is worth the money at all - this is obviously the price because of their location which is the only thing going for the hotel and it is 10 yards off the Ramblas. So unfortunatley I would not stay here agian - as after having walked arounf Barcelona there are alot more hotels better than this one for less cost - I know i did not pay the full price but again I don't expect surly service from the staff and them muttering amongst themselves in Spanish. Sorry to be negative but I feel I have to be honest.

Very nice hotel, excellent location but even if it is a four star hotel the cleaness of the room and the service is not really good. We were four people in the family room then we've got a good price and it was worst it, but it wouldn't be the same if we were two.

We had a special rate-The rates we have seen as normal rates in the Hotel would have been far too expensive for us-The situation is perfect and the personel very helpful-We will definitely stay again when there is a special rate. When you have special offers please let us know-we are often in Barcelona and love it apart from being mugged and had all our things stolen!!People should be warned !!

the hotel is in a excellent position just of las ramblas very easy to find plenty of bars & restaurants in the area also lots of shops.only a short walk down the ramblas & you are at the seafront. the hotel was very clean & the room was very comfortable maybe a bit expensive when you don't have breakfast included in the price but plenty of places to get a cheap breakfast in the area. we had a wonderful short break in barcelona every thing was perfect

We stayed at the hotel for a four day weekend with our children and another couple with two kids in another family room. Our room was very large and comfortable. Our friends had a family room that was very small. After complaining they were moved to a larger room as well. The location was perfect and just far enough from the main area (75 meters) it was quiet. Our friends were given free breakfast and felt the cost 15 euro per person was very high if they were paying for breakfast.
