Terrific, classy place to stay This is a great place to stay - my room didn't have much of a view but was fitted out well, and felt a bit like Austin Powers' shag-pad... the "hydromassage" setting on the shower wasn't up to much, but on the whole it was a great room, comfy bed, really friendly staff and a very good-looking hotel brilliantly located for the metro and Madrid's nightlife. Some travellers will appreciate it being on the edge of the gay quarter - but it's convenient for just about everything.

Pros: centrally located, safe, clean, wi-fi and laptops in some rooms, friendly front desk clerk. Bunk beds for two kids fold onto wall during the day, but it is a tight squeeze even doing that. Cons: very small room and bathroom, like the other High-Tech chain hotel in Málaga the bathroom door is just tinted glass, does not lock or latch and there is a half-inch gap that makes it all but impossible to have any privacy in the bathroom. The shower did not work very well and leaked. In general, I would stay there again if it was a really good deal because they had a room that fit the four of us and it was a fairly modern hotel, but the cons would make me search a bit harder for something else.

The room was nicely decorated, for being so small, hotel very conveniently located for shopping and nightlife. Bed very uncomfortable, noisy because it was so close to the street, lots of construction, water smelled bad. The hotel was nicely decorated for being so small. There was a deluxe shower fixture but unfortunately the only working part was the bottom handled fixture, and generally the water smelled sulfurous. The desk staff was helpful. We greatly appreciated the WIFI access in the room (which also had a computer, but we didn't need it).

Good findGood balcony overlooking an interesting part of the city. A spacious room. Easy to reach as it's right next to a Metro. The only downside was the ancient lift went out of service for a night and a day which meant I had to drag my bags down five flights of stairs. I felt sorry for anyone less fit. However, I was able to wander to anywhere and all the best resturants. Lots of street life. The staff was friendly and accomodating. There was a computer in the room but I brought my own and got easily connected. The free Wi-fi was much appreciated and the reason why I chose this hotel. Very clean and well kept. The included buffet breakfast is in the restaurant next door and very copius and reasonable: meat, cheeze, eggs and all the normal breakfast stuff.

It was lovely. The service was good, and the customer service were all friendly. There is internet use for free, and public. Each room also comes with their own computer. The rooms were cleaned daily, and clean for the most part. The hotel is in a perfect location right off of Gran Via because its around everything.

Technology. Stairs. This hotel is awesome! The room was spectacular, even including its own computer! I highly recommend this hotel for any type of traveler.

Hotel was gloomy and the room had a strong smell of dampness; the bathroom radiator leaked across the floor; the shower wasn't fully functional but it still managed to wet whole of bathroom floor; shower curtain very dirty.

The Petit Palace is a small, clean hotel which offers free internet; which is an added plus. It is quite safe; but it is in a very congested area of Madrid. The hotel is right around the corner from Gran Via,which is a large avenue with many shops, restaurants and traffic. A car is not necessary because you can walk or take the metro to most places. The Metro makes going on day trips quite easy. The Metro in Spain is very clean and efficient. Because many of the rooms in the front of the hotel are right off Gran Via, it is quite noisy at night. Request a room in the back of the hotel if you are staying with children.

Located very close to the Metro the hotel was very easy to find from the airport, very central. An ideal hotel for a weekend break, just be aware that you are very close to the Gay and Red light areas of Madrid. The staff were very friendly and the free wi fi access was very reliable.

Would recommend this hotel as well placed, efficient and easy to get to from metro and therefore airport and very close to all amenities. Room a touch over compact.

Overall I enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Petit Palace Ducal. Its location in the very centre of madrid makes it a perfect place for the tourist-in-town to rest their head. The rooms are very well decorated and possess all the amenities you would expect from a modern business hotel. The staff are friendly and seemed to be a good source for tourist info.
