The hotel is located next to the S-U-Bhf Lichtenberg train station (S5, S7, S75, U5)Head for Alexanderplatz station. If you arrive by tram, train or plane to Berlin you can reach Alexanderplatz directlly by public transport. Then take the U5 subway line towards Hönow. Get off at Berlin Lichtenberg and walk down Weitlingstrae. After some 150 metres you turn left into Margaretenstrae. Walk approximately 350 metres and youll find us on your left. A taxi will cost you between 10 Euro (from Ostbahnhof) and 35 Euro (from Schönefeld).By car, you also head for Alexanderplatz. Travel east along Karl-Marx-Allee and turn off right into Rosenfelder Strae then turn left into Einbecker Strae and turn right into Archenholdstrae. A huge disappointmentNot much good to say about this place. The orange curtains are extremely thin, so if you are light sensitive when you sleep (like I am) you will not sleep good at all! Bad location, nowhere near the main attractions or the pulsating nightlife, so you have to take the S-Bahn or the U-bahn anywhere you go which can get very expensive after a couple of days. The description of the hotel says that Friedrichshain is just around the corner, but that is completely false. Getting to Friedrichshain on foot is out of the question. The whole area where the "hotel" is located (Lichtenberg) is a bit shady, lots of drunks and skinheads, not even a good place to buy a beer. We only saw one bar in Lichtenberg and it played white power music...Breakfast is not included, the walls are really thin and the staff do not speak a word of english. Unless you speak german you'll barely be able to check in, any other reguests (a do not disturb sign, a scale to weigh your bags or anything else) will not be understood. And now for the worst part. This was just incredible. On our last day, at half past nine in the morning, the housekeeper knocked on our door and asked us when we were gonna leave ?!?!(I understood this because she pointed at her watch). We were completely shocked. We answered twelve o'clock because that is the check out time. What kind of question is that? It is not ok to disturb people who have paid for a room and try to put pressure on them to leave as soon as possible. Like many other people, we partied the night before and were pretty tired and hungover. The last thing you need in this situation is being disturbed by the staff 2,5 hours before check out time. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

A great place to stay. Although it is a little out of the centre the train/tube links are great. In to Alexanderplatz in 15 mins. Service was fantastic. Very pleasant room. Extremely clean especially the bathroom. Dvd player so could watch movies, Colourful soft furnishings and nice wooden floors. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Perfect accomodation for a city break in Berlin. The area was really nice, clean and quiet but with a U-bahn station 5 minutes walk away and lots of good cafes and shops nearby. The pensione was very clean and had all modern appliances. The bathroom was enormous and spotless, although it was shared between about 4 rooms we never had to wait. Very good for independent travellers as the room could be accessed via a flat front door, avoiding going through the pensione reception (good for coming in late). Very reasonable price especially over New Years!
